Even with access to the car hardware would it be impossible to just flash a new firmware onto it, not without some major security flaw in their bootloader or leaked keys to sign the new firmware. It is all locked down tightly.
I have the best detector for issues with my self hosted services: my wife!

Star Citizen is the fusion power of games. It is always 20 years away.

We have collectively entered the hell version of our timeline, all hope is lost!

and what would that change in regards of that law? It would still need a way to implement age verification and I really don’t see a way for an open, federated, distributed system like the fediverse to implement it. It is in its core principles incompatible with age verification. I can’t see a way for the fediverse to survive this law, not in the EU at least.

Oh and it is not only games. Has anyone a idea how to implement age verification for the fediverse? So have fun here as long as it lasts, because it will all burn under this law!

They will try and try again, even if we could fight it this time.

There is heroic games launcher and Lutris so who needs a official client?

Sure, but it is still wrong to say that GOG is not affected by it.

Oh but it is. As a german I can tell you that a lot of adult themed games are not available in germany. It is “fun”, they send me advertising Mails with this games, but when I try to open the links then nothing is there only a redirect to the store homepage.

Well I tried writing it with my tongue, but got saliva everywhere.

Boring, a rerelease packaged in a fancy dress.

It should work perfectly fine at least with Vice both standalone and as Core in RetroArch/libretro. I mostly played it on real hardware and on my MiSTer FPGA so my testing in emulators is limited but I played it a few hours in Vice.
I don’t see why it should not work in other C64 emulators.

(C64) Briley Witch Chronicles https://sarahjaneavory.itch.io/briley-witch-chronicles A very fun and good written game in the style of an Jrpg.
I tried Gnome a few times, last time maybe 3 years ago, but it just is not the right environment for me. It feels strange and everything is so complicated (most likely because I’m not used to it) and it is so limited when it comes to features and customization.
My first graphic OS was GEOS on the C64 back then, followed by Amiga Workbench, then different flavours of Windows. Using Linux with KDE just feels natural, it has the same usage paradigms and flows as all the OS/Environments I used before.
I had to use MacOSX for some time at work and I had the same issues with it that I had with Gnome, everything was a fight, nothing felt right or was at the place where it has to be.
Maybe delta chat could be the right thing? https://delta.chat/
It uses email technology to implement the secure chat
I don’t really think that copyright is the major issue here, but patents. Adobe has a metric tones of patents and the rebuilds will most likely conflict with a some or even lots of them.
