I mean we’ve all moved to Lemmy instead of using other social media. It ain’t perfect but it shows a lot of people are trying.

Don’t worry the cameras will have some insane price per month that the company charges. So not only are they getting the data they’re getting tax payer dollars as well. Same as with Flock, Axon, etc. Government grows in power against it’s citizens, and the company gets free data. It’s a win win for those signing the deal.

What’s worse is some people trust it more than experts or even teams of experts who dedicated their lives to their field. But yeah surely the model trained off the internet which is famously always correct is smarter.
