Also any person who gags on capitalist dick who defends business welfare is fucking idiot. They’ll tell you about how if we don’t make an exception and give all our taxes(I’m Canadian but it’s the same vibe) to these companies then we’re hurting ourselves for nothing but if you tell them that public services and consumer/renter/environmental/etc. protections will save tax money and inject much needed spending into the wider economy they tell you that you can’t say anything because you own an iPhone. Yup. Honestly, I don’t like most people. I’m known as very friendly and I have close friendships, people trust me, and I do have sizeable groups of people I like but 95% of the population I do not and will likely never want to be anywhere remotely near if at all possible…
…AND YET I still want everyone to be better. I still live in a city and I still willingly take and support public transit despite owning a car. Today, I gave a homeless guy a protein shake for him and treats for his dog. I gave someone I detest my gloves during a fire alarm which put us all put in the cold because they couldn’t get to their jacket before leaving. I do NOT understand how their can be people so full of hate that they not only have literally violent reactions to other people existing but that they will hurt themselves in order keep others from even a small amount of peace. It’s honestly a huge stress point because how the fuck are things supposed to progress if that’s how so many people are?
And with the power of the internet we’ve made it so that it’s all even more obvious(because apparently people ruling through divine right and then brutalizing their populations wasn’t obvious enough) and yet we still can’t get it.
Luckily, with our huge, recent jump in technology, we have the chance to see a change previously not possible. I’m crossing every finger and toe.
You don’t have to think it, we have plenty of evidence. The best way to fight crime is to fight poverty but that requires actually caring for others.
This is fighting? Not holding an event? The bare minimum here is to host it and still invite everyone because that’s the entire point. Throwing the plan in the garbage and walking away isn’t fighting, especially when he’s getting his way pretty much everywhere and can just have his little Republican governors’ meeting whenever he wants otherwise.

It’s for online communities, group chats, and audio/video calls with streaming built-in. It’s really very good and incredibly easy to learn how to use, but recently it’s been pulling some increasingly concerning shit. Started simple and clean, then started adding shit for who knows why.

Except that they’re not putting anywhere near the amount of effort I’d hope they would need to influence people. Look at how awful Trump is, how openly disgusting he is, and yet them just saying “no that’s fake actually” is enough.
People like these awful things and they want to be “influenced” so they can pretend, amongst themselves mostly, that they were fooled.
Here in Canada we have three major parties and a few minor ones. A decade or more ago ago our three major parties could be described as progressive, centerist, and conservative. These days they can be referree to as progressive, conservative/center-right, and far-right.
How many people do you suppose switched from the Conservitives to the Liberals, from the originally conservative to the now conservative/center-right, in more recent years as the parties changed their alignment and began representing different people? Next to fucking no one. Most originally Conservative voters, if they genuinely believed in what they were saying, should be voting Liberal right now as that party now aligns with their supposed views more closely. Liberals, likewise, only care about voting for the party that puts itself between the two options on either side, calling anyone to the right or left “extreme” or “idealists” no matter what their positions actually are and so it’s difficult to get them to actually make real change.
The moral of this story is that MAGA voters are voting based on following their tribe around and they are completely locked into branding and stereotypes. They believe anything they’re told because they want to align themselves with an image, not vote for a representative. The more this shit goes on the more I think the world needs to ban the idea of political parties so that voters have to actually listen to the campaign promises of candidates.

Mamdani handed the DNC a win and they fought him the whole way anyhow. Centrists as always act like there’s no alternative between centrism and conservatism even though it’s only and specifically because they systematically attack anyone who actually tries to make things truly better.
