2·19 days agoI actually patched it on another phone. Does host machine make difference on how Magisk patched the boot.img?

11·30 days agoLol. MacOS is based on BSD and Mach which are open source, but MacOS is still proprietary. Any normal modern browser syncs anything between devices and has a builtin password manager (which supports sync as well). Even stock Firefox is customizable with countless themes and vertical tabs and has a decent adblocker. No idea why you need calendar in a browser though.
And, finally, a quote from Vivaldi’s EULA, showing its high attitude to being FOSS:
7\. Without limiting the foregoing, you are neither allowed to (a) adapt, alter, translate, embed into any other product or otherwise create derivative works of, or otherwise modify the Software ; (b) separate the component programs of the Software for use on different computers; © reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Software, except as permitted by applicable law; or (d) remove, alter or obscure any proprietary notices on the Software or the applicable documentation therein.

I don’t know. Probably not bad. Large DNS providers tend to be OK unless specifically known to be not OK. Just make sure you really use DoH

Privacy@lemmy.ml•I tried Vivaldi on Linux just to find out that it’s not for me.
101·2 months agoVivaldi is made by former Opera guys and deserves zero attention because it is yet another proptietary piece of crap.
Set up DoH globally for your devices if you need privacy. Something like Adguard DNS.
What do you mean no tracking since you own your own server? If you use it alone, there is a straightforward correlation between the requests from your searxng instance and you, the dude who hosts it. The idea of searxng is that requests of many people become mixed together through an instance
Searx is not the easy one. Many instances don’t work, and the working ones hardly show relevant results.
Ok I was kidding I actually love my systemdOSd it runs seamlessly on my IBM systemdbookd so fuck FreeDOS and everything else cause they aren’t d

Lawnchair launcher + Arcticons. Really goat. Just search for launchers and icon packs on F-Droid
It is not safer than downloading apks from releases on GitHub, except that when you do this on GitHub, you usually know more about the project beforehand.

I wish Graphene was my case but my phone is unrootable. My best is just deleting googleware via shizuku and installing microG instead. That’s what I think is dangerous: not microG, but installing it like this
