Technology@beehaw.org•Long-time iOS user considering switch to Android - Need advice on $1000 flagships
12·3 months agoTheir software is getting less stable with each release, while the amount of crammed in features is going up.
I agree that you may be having this personal experience. On the other hand, I am not and have been using iOS for many years. The difference could be that I intentionally stay very informed about iOS.
I, personally, will not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
However, if you believe that you will have better experiences using Android, then please make the switch.
Back in 2007 (After many years of making a career out of using Microsoft/Windows products) I started using Linux and MacOS/iOS exclusively and have never looked back.
I have very little experience and/or knowledge of Android. So, I can’t comment on that.

3·3 months agoBut it doesn’t help that I live in a conservative area that doesn’t have many intellectual or techy people. I will probably end up driving to a big city for a once or twice a month meeting.
Soon I will have to be doing the same. It’s a little over an hour drive one way. Do you have any recommendations about how to find an interest group?

Yes, of course they are!
I agree. I grew up using hard copy encyclopedias at libraries. It is incredible now to have all of this at our fingertips at home.

I’m sorry to hear that. Very sad.
