StackOverflow didn’t have immediate responses and the responses were how to do the thing, not literally writing the code for you. The internet and support communities were like reference books and asking a colleague for advice, the normal way people learn.

LLMs are like having someone else do it for you. You have to actively try to lean something from how it did it and most people don’t, they just take the answer and move on.

I curse at inanimate objects all the time. Cursing at an LLM is like cursing at the coffee table when I stub my toe except the coffee table doesn’t respond.
