It’s not controversial that today’s Christianity is descended from people who saw themselves as Christian Jews, Jews who followed who they believed was the Messiah. I’m just saying that there is no inherent contradiction in following Jesus and hating the Jews who did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Jesus being a Jew himself doesn’t really matter, since in this situation he’s kind of a special case.

Again, it was a sect of Judaism for decades for sure, probably centuries. It doesn’t matter what you believe.
