In a joint statement following talks, Xi Jinping and Putin stated that the war in Ukraine could only be resolved by removing its “root causes”.

Such formulation clearly echoes key Russian propaganda messages used by the Kremlin to justify the launch of the full-scale war, including the threat of NATO expansion, discrimination against Russian-speaking people and the suppression of the Russian language, culture and media in Ukraine.

Anyone here understands geopolitics and the cornering of Russia by NATO (read: the US plus European vassals) or are you just talking out of vibes? Anyone here remembers the 2011 US coup on Ukraine and what it led to? It’s a bit more complex than what the commenters here believe, lol.

Just because a country does not side with russia, it is a US vassal. These US “vassal” are refusing to import chlorinated chicken from US. what kind of vassal refuse trade with their “master”.

You left out russian invasion, coups, separatists, and terrorism inside Ukraine, Donbas.

Instead of filling your head with propaganda, take a look at the map and russia borders and coasts. Measure the length of the russia border. Now measure the length of the Nato border with russia before the Ukraine war. No way is russia cornered.

The most peaceful borders of russia with the least number of border troops are along NATO borders.

NATO and other reasons are just excuses made for different sheeps/audience. Russia wanted the warm water ports in Ukraine’s Crimea and the water supply to crimea from Ukraine’s Donbas and eventually link up to Tranistria. It is just expansionism. Empire building. Putin already admitted it during the interview with Carlson.

It is not complicated. Complexity was created because different sheeps needed different reasons to support russia, like NATO for some, Nazis or LGBTQ and etc, for others,

Russia has zero security issue since they have most nukes in the world. They also have most land to shelter from nukes. They are already surrounded by nuclear powers like France, china, nkorea and etc. It is other countries that have genuine security issues with russia, its nukes, and imperial expansionism

So what is the standard rusbot argument for Nato expanding through willing submissions from new countries where Russias policy with their neighbors is beating them into submission where possible?

Don’t forget, just like NATO, russia is also expanding with pen and paper through CSTO. Russia is doing both, expansion through CSTO and expansion of territories through bombs, guns, and tresspassing.

This has to be a joke, they couldn’t even get the year correctly and it’s been drilled into them. Right???

I got the year wrong BECAUSE it hasn’t been drilled into my head, lol. I just believe it’s more complex than simply “Russia bad”, especially in the face of NATO expansionism. I’m not emotionally attached though, which is why I can actually freely learn about it, unlike others who can’t conceive anything outside of “Russia bad, China bad, West good”…

It’s actually that simple. Why complicate things. If you bothered to look at Putin a history, you would know what he had been up to all this time.

Fair enough, my bad. And here I thought geopolitics were complex affairs, I should’ve just hated Eurasia and Oceania like daddy told me to.

The problem with people like you is that you don’t think, you repeat. You “think” you are the singular “enlightened” among a sea of propaganda-eating idiots, while saying the same shit Russia pushes to try to justify invading a sovereign country.

I’m not immune to propaganda and I make mistakes like everyone else. Again, all I said is that it’s more complex than “America and Western Europe good, Russia and China bad” and people are throwing tantrums…

It’s not more complicated than “Ukraine can decide to do whatever they want to do and Russia has fuckall to do with it”.
