It’s definitely Linux, but it’s not GNU.
My PC runs GNU/Linux my phone runs Android/Linux

It’s close enough to linux to be linux-like and can always be more linux-y, but it’ll never be unix.
Still ‘adequate’ and light years better than the others.That counts. Screw the gatekeepers.

Kernel: android
“android” is the version of the Linux kernel it’s using. It’s still the Linux kernel.
