Please, for the love of god, let this campaign be significant enough to make people buy into the world that lives in multiplayer.
Hey you… yes you! Don’t you dare to fucking pre-order!
My friends who were all disappointed by 2042 are basically all proudly taking the bait already…
Edit : oh also I forgot, EA expects it to sell 100 MILLIONS UNITS. They’re literally setting it up to fail even if it’s the most successful game ever in the franchise by a factor of 4. Or their execs are wildly incompetent. At this point I can’t be sure which one it is
I want to be excited for this. However, they keep creating unfinished slop with features half-baked and no one wants. Dice/EA are incredibly tone deaf to their audience. I hope it is good, but based on the past few games, it likely will not be.
This is where I’m at too. DICE/EA were absolute muppets with the most recent Battlefield with own-goal after own-goal. Literally trying to make BF into a hero shooter with operatives etc. like, stupid bastards took Battlefield out of Battlefield and wondered why it was received poorly.
That being said, I really hope they’ve learned some lessons and this newest instalment knocks it out of the park. Could absolutely get back into a Battlefield game.
It looks like destructive environments are back and the nod to the BF4 theme at 2:00 is interesting. Let’s hope that DICE can pull their head out of their ass for this one.
If I can run it on Linux I am in.
If it can run on my Samsung fridge then I’m in.
Get ready for an undercooked campaign, BF6’s development has been rather chaotic https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2025/07/behind-the-next-battlefield-game-culture-clash-crunch-and-colossal-stakes/
I’m expecting a complete shit show of disappointment but will happily be proved wrong by EA and Battlefield Studios.
Locked behind a login requirement for ‘age verification’, huh.
