I just don’t really believe there’s anyone in the Capitol who is actually fighting for me anymore, save perhaps a tiny few who have no realistic chance to help. Not Bernie’s fault they fucked him over, for example, and I have mad respect for him. But one man, maybe one or two allies, standing in front of this wave of irrational hatred? We’re fucked.

I keep hearing claims they have turned over a new leaf and are no longer fighting against progressives, but the Mamdani campaign, for example isn’t giving me much faith that this is true. You may very well be correct to worry about this.
