She avoids the pool for the first few minutes until she knows I’m not going to trick her into taking a bath.

      My guess is the difference between I’m hot and need to cool off vs. you’re using cold water and torturing me.

          We use soap/chemical free shampoos and try to make it enjoyable with a massaging mitt. She’s fine once the cold water has stopped.

              Just what comes out of the hose and she’s too big for the tub in the house. I need to check the local pet shop that has baths and see if theirs is heated, at least during the winter.

                Give her a warm bath. Chances are good she will enjoy that much more. Make sure to never fill the bath with too much water so she can easily lie down at any moment, like in the photo above.
