    I’d argue they’re welfare fraudsters rather than welfare queens.

    “Welfare fraudster” is exactly what “welfare queen” means, and is why the term is so offensive.

      Ah I always thought welfare queen just meant lazy and living off it, rather than rich and claiming it.
