Does this really need to be explained? He promised to lower prices, then went and did the opposite. Money is the primary concern of Republicans, and he’s making them lose theirs - plain and simple.

Pretty much explained in 1 statistic:

One statistic from our public opinion poll last month that I find particularly relevant: Just 29 percent of likely Republican voters said the economy was better than it had been a year ago, down from 72 percent in January.

Actually lowering prices (i.e., following deflationary monetary policy) would be simple to implement but terrible for the economy and hit those with substantial assets (oligarchs, but also 401(k)s) hard. Trump promised lower prices because he knows voters are stupid enough to fall for it, regardless of whether he delivers on that promise, which in any case he shouldn’t.

As for Trump “alienating” GOP voters, his approval is at 38%, well above that of many other world leaders. He may have “alienated” a small but sufficient share of voters to lose the midterms, but that’s about it.

Trump is like a force of nature. He is a corrupt piece of filth that will do and say anything for some money up to and including pedophilia and treason.

What Trump actually did is FORCE Americans to take a values test. Who actually believes in something? Who actually lives by civilized values? Can your values override your tribal groupthink?

They failed that morality test THREE TIMES.

    THE GOP FAILED AMERICANS
