To me it’s fairly obvious what my kitty is trying to tell me based on her tail, ears, and eyes. If I for some reason I am clueless, she’ll add a variation of a meow.

I’ve had various cats since 1996 and two cats since we adopted them as kittens in 2019.

Thanks to the pandemic, I got to spend something like 20 hours per day with one cat who likes to sleep and play next to my at-home desk and sleep at my feet at night.

I can read her face and body language and mood as if she were talking out loud to me. And she knows all my routines. It’s great

Cats are quite expressive once you understand them. They’re even patient with you when you don’t get it right away. My poor old girl Ashleigh whom I had a very close bond would give me a very soft hiss if I wasn’t getting it and her patience wore out.

Awww, very sweet. My will reach over and out her teeth on me to let me know. We joke that she’s saying “I’m biting you because I’m an animal and you’re being an idiot, but I’m doing it gently because I love you”
