Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis have formed a coalition of governors to fight against “increasing threats of autocracy” and strengthen democracy during a second Donald Trump presidency.
The goal of Governors Safeguarding Democracy, or GSD, is to protect state-level institutions of democracy — and to utilize their collective legislative, budgetary, executive and administrative powers. Pritzker said it will “catalyze collaboration across state lines.”
“It’s built off a model that all of us governors have already successfully pioneered through the Reproductive Freedom Alliance,” Pritzker said. “And together, what we’re doing is pushing back against increasing threats of autocracy and fortifying the institutions of democracy that our country and our states depend on.”

Other governors very well may be involved and we don’t know it yet. In the article, it says they asked Pritzger who else he’s in talks with and he said that not everyone wants to be publicly named yet.

Pritzker has been very outspoken about defying national orders, and even protecting the vulnerable in other states.

from what I have seen many on the far left think money is speech even more than the republicans and also feel the left should lie their way to the top.
Most of the far left want all money out of politics, know that corporations aren’t people, and that politicians spend way too much time raising money instead of legislating.
The problem is that the moderates are convinced that they need to spend the same amount as the right wing super pacs. Which Trump proved was probably unnecessary in 2016 (though he has the electoral college advantage that the left lacks).
Getting the money out would also get Wallstreet and aipac out too.
I get post and replies about the democrats fault because they did not spend enough and because they did not say such and such regardless of what they intend to do or they should just go do things against the law like trump talks about doing all the time.
