Technology@lemmy.world•Asus Co-CEO: MacBook Neo Is a 'Shock' to the PC IndustryEnglish
231·5 days agoI think the real shock is the quality of windows and Microsoft, and the pc laptop industry also… When everything about a pc laptop is worse than a mac laptop, why do we expect?
It really is like no pc laptop manifacturer has pride in what they create anymore. They dont care if its a bad screen, shitty keyboard, horrible battery time. Just get it on market so the people can buy, and pay reviewers for good reviews.

12·5 days agoAll these things are going away, supported by people who disagree with what they say. Because wisdom is rare now. It will probably need to be a massive war so people again can learn how to be wise afterwards.

243·8 days agoIts getting kind of silly to be afraid of China when big tech is American… There really isnt any logical reason at this point. Just emotional, because people are afraid of China.
The entire west is getting absolutely wrecked by American big tech so its funny to read those articles about how scary China is. I guess we prefer the devil we know, but I dont think China has anything even remotely as capable as American spy agencies and big tech.

Some apps rely on that being installed but most worked fine without it.

9·14 days agoI mean yeah, you can read about these people and understand the theory, but if you meet one, you will just feel they are different from body language and eye contact. They often seek power and will unite with other people who have power.
They will only care about weak people if they can benefit from it. They love to do virtue signaling and other forms of manipulation of people who dont see them for what they are.
They will always try to turn your friends against you so you are alone.

3·16 days agoIts been an american leadership view for as long as ive been alive that American lives are worth at least a hundred times more than other lives.
That is, in war situations, not in situations where leadership takes care of its citizens. No, there those lives are worth next to nothing. So American leadership is pretty much at war both with its own people and countries who dont want American culture.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Sam Altman would like remind you that humans use a lot of energy, too | TechCrunchEnglish
9·22 days agoYou can feel that this guy is not actually a human being inside. At least I can see that its just a surface.
Im very interested in how that happens. Is it souls being born into this existence that are not from the same source as ordinary humans, or what has happened here. Its interesting.
Its like the soul has been replaced by the mind, and the mind wants humans to be machines.

You will not see much difference in performance. This is from 2022 but should still be true?
