Theres just a niche subrddit for everything, thats its one pro, but then you realize everyones just showing off and gatekeeping or trying to sell you something

I had 3 alts all get banned at once with my main, I commented on the front page with an alt that was supposdely banned. They were all logged into the app tho thats easy enough to notice (it bothers me that they claim I was evading a ban? like id be smart enough to at least use a vpn and not login all my alts into the same app on the same phone if it was for evading a subreddit ban…)

wish we could somehow transfer reddit history, but reddit legally owns our posts and identity

yeah voyager is developing for multiple platforms tho, android and ios

If you f up and join lemmy.dbzero you wont see any posts from lemmyworld users and the same issue if you join the other

idk if there is, apps only seem to search communities, users, and servers, still new tho

Mlem is like voyager but better imo, arctic looks really good atlo, they are all mostly similar, I like arctics feed but im used to mlem, arctic can show photos and vids in formats that sometimes dont work in voyager or mlem rnow

well that was them robbing snapchat either way, I do want loops to intergrate with it for video, I like reels, the algorithim is very good, my main page only gets funny stuff, my 3d page only gets cool art (sadly a ton of loweffort ai these days, i still like high effort ai mixed with simulations)

Lemmy feels pretty centrist, idk politics are weird plenty of right mfs have very leftist views that they see as right wing views if that makes sense, plenty of left wing ppl going off emotion too. I feel like on lemmy no one tweaks if you agree with one of trumps actions while hating 99% of them, elsewhere like on reddit they’ll pile on you for considering they could have one good point,like yeah maybe cartels should be designated terrorists good job there

I think they shouldnt even be shown other servers inititslly on the apps, have it in the corner as an optional pick, default to lemmee or shitjustworks since they dont block stuff like piracy, or if you’re scared of legal trouble default to lemmyworld

I slightly prefer mlem even tho its similar, arctic is the cleanest with the least issues displaying things imo, at least on iphone

I do think apps should default to lemmee or shitjustworks and then have an option for more savvy user to pick something else in the corner rather than giving them the option to pick immediately

they dont know it works like email tho, thats the initial hangup, also it already has issues like lemmyworld blocking piracy instances

I did start a community for 3d (3dee), dropshipping (dropshipping lol), and chairs (deskchairs) since those were some communities I used on reddit that I didn’t see here. Made a general one for 3d since its still small here and spreading the programs out means less visibility and posts on each community imo. Haven’t posted yet and neither has anyone else tho.

What iphone apps do yall use? Rnow I’m using loops for the tiktokclond (hoping more creators join and post there) and mlem for lemmy (liking it more than voyager, arctic seems cleaner but I got used to this interface). Does anyone have a good mastadon app they reccomend? I’m using bluesky since getting an okay feed was easier there, not sure if thats the apps fault. I do like an algorithim just not one based on controversy.

No iphone app yet, at least its planned, guess ill use gmail on my phone and do it manually for now, thunderbird for my pc and tablet. Odd that none of these apps let you sync all your email logins across platforms. Maybe they want you to get all your mail through just them and this would make competition easier.
