God sometimes when I read stuff like this as a post I reflexively down vote because I hate it so much until I remember it’s just a post calling attention to someone being a piece of shit and not agreeing with them. I up voted again to fix it lol

Tell me about your favorite dwarf
When I was young I learned to pick a female character and people would be way more nice to me and helpful when I was new and give me stuff.
I hate the word blasts in this context. IDK why it bothers me so much
Honestly same as well
I worked at McDonald’s to be able to afford to go to college and they sold my fingerprint data. I got like 50 dollars in the mail for compensation. Always thought that was fucked. They probably made more selling it all than the settlement was. I should’ve gotten a lot
Yeah this is true. I have an ad blocker browser app for my phone but the app opens it in normal browser
Holy hell. The small amount of screen I could actually see on that article that wasn’t ads. Article websites are getting so horrid. The bottom was a super huge banner the top was a video ad playing.
Cult of the Lamb is fun tho
Comparing a bad thing to another bad thing that was larger doesn’t make the lesser not also still a bad thing. Not that you necessarily think that of course but some people use this as a defense quite often. “Like x person in history killed a million people but I only murdered one why are you so mad at me?!How am I bad!” haha
Some things like this would benefit from being sensationalized though right? Would be better if a lot of people actually were pissed about this and that it would be over responded to.
I definitely hope it’s less than a million gallons, but whether it’s a million gallons or 300 thousand gallons or 500 this evokes much the exact same response from me. Just because it’s a horrid thing wasn’t an even more horrible thing doesn’t make either not a bad thing.
I think people just aren’t responding well because when you explain that it’s an estimate and could be lower that you might be trying to downplay the situation. Like it’s not 100 it’s actually 80 so no one should be mad kinda thing
Lmao gotcha. I mostly played when it first came out. I imagine the reason it was overwhelmingly negative was the review bombing of the “overwatch 2” which is the exact same as overwatch one except they forced everyone to switch to this one where the only difference is the addition of a store. everything that used to be free cosmetic wise is now payable content.
Overwatch makes new players do tutorials on each of the heroes now as well as describing all the abilities at any time in the selection screen. I think if you were to explore it again and play for a while you would learn it all really quickly. The characters aren’t really that complex once you learn what is going on haha. Definitely at first it’s just chaos and dunno why you’re dying
I’m so sorry. I have a cat named Pocket. You picked a good name
You have a lot of really good points here that I wish more people would think on
A little bit you talk about when the trees start to die and re release the carbon as if there aren’t new trees taking their place.
I understand that more carbon has been extracted than there was in circulation before. But in the same way that you hate rich people trying to get richer by selling offsets and planting trees it’s the same as this inventor and their shitty bricks. In my opinion it’s even less viable than environment restorations even though as we both agree they won’t all the way solve the problem. I do agree that no one’s come up with a real solution and we definitely need some kind of long term mega scale storage
Damn I wish trees and plants already did this. 900 houses < a forest
A bit valid. Just rough for the people already living there that may not have chosen it
This is exactly it. I’m not making excuses for these companies messing up and being negligent I think it’s fine they get a spotlight on these things. However it’s just like the railroad derailings that were hot recently. After it was news we were seeing huge headlines of derailings like every single day and not anymore. I have family members as engineers in the railroad and I know that there’s derailings literally all the time but it was only reported so much because it was the new hot topic for a while. Again not defending the railroads in the cases where huge disasters were also caused due to negligence fuck them for that too
