We’ve been aware that we negatively affect the environment since at least the 1800s.
Hello lovelies, I am a (trans)Woman who is still in the process of discovering herself!
I have been working up the courage to be who I am for so long, I am excited to be figuring things out.
Pre-HRT, pre-fashion-sense, and pre-confidence.
Any and all tips and advice from more experienced women are welcome!

We’ve been aware that we negatively affect the environment since at least the 1800s.

My coworker IS attractive. My coworker is also my spouse.

Just go ahead and give us access to your medical records to confirm. We promise to use this information in a completely normal way, and will certainly not abuse it at all. We can be trusted with your data.

It makes sense when you think of it less as a beurocrat taking issue with cleaning trash, and more like the ruling class making sure the poors don’t get any ideas that the world can be better, since they might decide to hold them to doing something to help.

Your guess is as good as mine. I assumed it would be similarly priced to my pre-built laptop cost, which was around 1300-1400.
I’m mildly surprised it hasn’t rise more in the last 2-3 months, but I assume that’s part of why v/ram is a little on the low side. From my understanding, most of the games that would be playable on it don’t need tons of ram, since they’re better optimized on Linux.

Well, guess I’m sticking with an old laptop and console for the foreeable future.
I wonder how all the people I know are gonna take this, considering they’ve been rubbing “pc specs at console price” for who knows how long…

Sounds like the perfect dash cam for law enforcement.
Allow anyone to view and know their location. It’s all in the name of safety! Think of the children! If I have a heart attack and my phone got stolen and my child needs to know where the closest cop is, they can check! think of the children reeeeee
Unironically want these in cop cars tho. It should help keep an eye on them when they pull shady shit if everyone can view their dashboard camera at all times

Being standard practice doesn’t make it okay.

You take that back!
The cerritos officers replicators have spicy mayo!
Starfleet wouldn’t even curse the lower deckers with cane’s chicken.
I swear they are only kept afloat by how quick they sling the chicken out, and their toast. It’s like people don’t know how to make their own toast…

They get multiple slices of pizza! AND PESTO!

Bet you it is, since most people are simply unawarw of the things they should be smelling for, and since many people don’t cook their own food they have no confidence in their abilities.
Seems a little weird to assume diminished sense of smell based on their comment comparing their sense to that of an electronic device tailor made for smelling…

Not sure if they edited their comment, but after “all of the above” they specify the 30kph as “if it’s only a raised border” and not a full size wall/barrier.
Side note: Honestly, slapping a 2-3in stepped concrete block and keeping the cycling lane raised to match that step would go a long way in keeping people off it. People don’t like driving on cracks, they’ll avoid a large contrasting colored step like the plague

GOOD
Fuck that former employee
You aren’t being stolen from, a company is.
You aren’t losing money, the company is
You don’t gain anything by interfering, the company does
You don’t get rewarded, you have rewarded the company (assuming you stop the theft)
YOU DON’T MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO CARE ABOUT SHOPLIFTERS
I don’t care how much you make. You don’t make enough.
If you, as someone with a lower quality of life (relative to the rich) than a medieval peasant and who definitely doesn’t have the money to take care of potential medical bills thy arise from a potential altercation.
I cannot fathom caring so much about a company’s profits that I intervene in any shoplifting.
Note: when I worked for a sporting goods retailer, the ONLY thing I ever did was inform a manager when I believe someone was stealing ammo for a gun. Never gave a shit about clothing, food, or even sports equipment, but in my opinion there’s very few reasons to steal firearm ammunition, almost none of them involve a needy person who will use them for benefit.
If you see someone shoplifting, especially from a company, no you fucking didn’t

They really aren’t unless it’s a solid brick/concrete internal wall.
Even Americans, who are surrounded by guns, do not understand just how much a bullet can go through. I don’t expect people who aren’t exposed to guns every day to know.
About 15 years ago, my Minecraft server admin lived in Columbus Ohio, and a stray bullet from a car chase went through his car door and went through his abdomen and seat, and almost went through the opposing door.
My grandparents had a bullet go completely through their house, both exterior walls, and 3 interior walls, before the bullet got lodged in the brick wall of the church across the street.
I myself have attended events that demonstrated the penetration power of pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
Protip for anyone who wants to have something for home decence but is concerned about neighbors, use a shotgun with either target shot or birdshot. Drywall won’t stop it, but it will seriously limit the damage it does to anything on the other side of the wall.

My plan is “I’ll probably be dead” but if not, I have enough parts to cobble together a solar charging station, and keep my laptop running for a few days between needing to let everything charge back up.
I have one off-site backup on an hdd inside a faraday bag and waterproof case that I back up once a week(ish) and after every project. I have local backups daily, one in a faraday box.
I have never once needed any of them and honestly if shit hit the fan hard enough, I will likely never be in a position where having backups for digital information will matter again. I’ll probably at most have my old phone/battery/solar charger combo that’s in a case in the garage, I keep a ton of survival references, maps, and things like that on it.

Does your country not have federal agents?

For the same reason someone would have asked “why is building a large, complex and hard to produce solar panel more economical than churning out an equivalent number of coal plants?” decades ago.
It’s improving the tech, which could eventually far and away outpaced every other energy producer. Maybe not now, but in the future. Some are just gung-ho about trying to produce a bunch when they’re not quite ready.

Imagine posting this with any kind of sincerity in current year

It’s less “everyone doe what we say” and more “everyone uses the data from this thing”
Hard to “go your own way” if you don’t have your own monitoring system.
Toyota and Nissan are very much not known for their trucks here, it’s mostly sedans.
Which are ALSO giant and shitty.
