Well, in my experience Android DAPs tend to be so underpowered they can’t even run their stock version of Android smoothly.

I’m not subscribed to any video streaming sites, too pricey for just watching one thing once in a while. As for audio, I have Tidal and so far it has been quite good actually; but if that ever changes I’ll just revert back to physical media/piracy.
Steam sales tend to be pretty good, what’s even better is that keysites tend to drop the price accordingly.

Apple TV+ isn’t too bad IMO… IF you use it on an Apple device, everywhere else it’s shit

Look, I don’t care how many sides it has as long as it doesn’t get stuck on everything.

Well, it’s a good thing I can’t afford a new car anyway…

No touchscreen is tough I’ll admit. I’m sure you’ve already looked at the FiiO M3K, that one even has a Rockbox port.
I can recommend the FiiO X5II as a no-thrills modern-ish player (it’s basically a hi-res iPod). It’s 10 years old but you can change the battery pretty easily and there are options to mod the firmware yourself.

I see someone is late to the nostalgia-bait articles party… You know that dedicated music players are still a thing now? You don’t have to always use a fucking iPod.
I do like iPods mind you but there are better modern alternatives if you want a daily driver. It’s nice that they want to talk about solutions for people who want to get away from their phone I guess, but a 20-year-old device is not the solution for most people.

What was that about Windows K2 again? Ah, who cares
Wow, a mysterious set of updates that’ll fix everything, without any release date or explanation?
Yeah nah, it’ll be great if it works out but something tells me it might just not. Taking on SteamOS… Good luck with that.

I misread that as HB1s for a brief moment.

Quit your job. Finding a new one shouldn’t be hard if you worked at Meta before.

Good on that JetBlue employee for showing a level of empathy. They were probably fired for it, but at least they went out with a bang.

That’s weird, it completely kills it for me… I’ll have a look later to see if I ticked any other boxes.

You can turn glass off in macOS. On my MacBook running the latest 26.4.1 it’s in the System Settings under Accessibility -> Display -> Reduce transparency.
Sadly, there are still a few apps that don’t respect Accessibility settings, like Tidal, but it should apply to everything that’s part of macOS.

Just don’t shake them after they come out

You mean wannabe Windows 7 Aero? I sure hope so, one of the best things about it is that you can turn it off

It had no impact on employment? What’s with the mass lay-offs at nearly every big software company recently, that just happened to coincide with their push for AI then?
Good for him.
