Of you’ve seen “recommended for you” on Facebook (or recommendations on other platforms), it’s usually the dumbest shit because it drives engagement.

For the influencers, lots of visitors = potential market to peddle their piss merch, urine therapy books and recipes on YouTube

Maybe it’s a way to filter out the dumbest people around. They’re easily influenced and are a great target for advertising.

I don’t like it either but schools are exactly that, employee factories. And maybe to keep kids busy so parents can work.

Why is this bad? They keep asking children what job they’ll do when they grow up but barely tell them which options there are

I can only speak from experience but basically what I wrote. Teacher gives kids something to do, we all wait in silence for slowest kid to finish, zone out a bit during the teacher’s monologues and go home at some point. I don’t know what relevance friends have since there’s barely any moment you’re allowed to interact during school hours

Somehow my teachers were obsessed with silence. Stealing, bullying, breaking shit, nobody cares. Whispering to your neighbor though: the worst crime you could commit.

Our 15-minute break was mostly trying to avoid the bullies.

4. Repeat numerous times

Then some adult asks “how was school?”

It’s nice it has a VPN for when you need it. I rarely use a VPN so you don’t need to install one seperately. But yeah the adblocker isn’t great. I wouldn’t use it as a main browser but it’s good for when you need a Chrome browser. Not sure what you mean it’s got unnecessary control, more control is better.

Since my computer is having some memory issues, I keep an eye out for it. Watching a YouTube video in Firefox took around 700 mb, opened it in Zen browser and it took >1 gb. Zen overall doesn’t seem very responsive.

For local networks maybe, but I don’t just use my laptop/phone at home

Chrome-based browsers don’t block that well in my experience but there’s system-wide options like Portmaster or the good old hosts file

I did MAVO (middle/low education). We didn’t really learn anything there. Anyways, they don’t just let our kind on universities. You need to waste another 4 years to get a diploma elsewhere so you then can go and study for a bachelor’s. Then you’ve reached the maximum number of years you’re allowed to study and financing is over, so no option to study master’s or just anything else.
