After learning how to install medicat i discovered ventoy. With ventoy you can copy and paste how ever many bootable iso files you like into it and run them all from the same drive/partition from a selectable boot menu. It’s amazing, I won’t be using dd anymore for boot disks.
I survived it for a few hours but ultimately succumbed to your issue exactly but with the added annoyance of having to get in and out of the car repeatedly. Not my game either…

I think my instance isn’t federated but I am under the understanding that the federation can still scrape data through other federated instances that mine is connected with. Something along the lines of ‘their data doesn’t come in but your data is still sent out’.
