So we had a strange early insurance change at work. HSA plan went from 6k max out of pocket to 16k.

right? teams is a descendant of INSTANT messaging. I actually find it more annoying if someone tries to initiate a Teams Call without the “do you have a minute for a quick call?”
Some things are easier to do via email. Some things are best discussed live. Be that via text or voice or video.

Linux@programming.dev•Those who've switched to Linux in the last year, how is it going?
7·2 months agoI switched to Nobara a couple months ago. My computer is a lot snappier. Overall its great. Some minor difficulties but no show stoppers.
Signal desktop gives me an error that it is keeping credentials in plaintext which is fucked, I tried to get it to not do that but havnt been able to figure out how. (there are tutorials for ubuntu/gnome, but I havnt figured out how to translate those to fedora/kde…
I just started using crow-translate which is amazing, but keep getting a screenshot error message. Something with wayland maybe? again when I search there is a lot of shit about ubuntu/gnome but that doesnt really help.

21·2 months agoThere are plenty of troops that just repair cars. Maybe those cars get used for murder, maybe they don’t. It’s a complex moral problem that is different for everyone at different levels.
By saying fuck the troops, you are falling into the trap the owners want. You are focusing on pawns rather than the kings they want to be.

Havn’t bought one yet. Just eyeing my next project (realistically 2 projects from now). I narrowed down the Millennium cause I think I could get the most utility out of it. If I were to really do it how I would like Id need a pbx and thats a project Im definitely not willing to take on for some time.
yeah, but Im over here trying to figure out how to connect an old Nortel Millennium so that the display works for caller ID… (I want to put one of these in the garden)

2·5 months agoyeah, the back end is the scarier part. I don’t think conservapedia actually added that much content, it just copied Wikipedia and edited the parts they cared about. Automating that, while helpful, isn’t that big a deal IMO. Disseminating the resultant bullshit (with a hint of plausibility) is where the nightmares begin.

4·5 months agoHe is a moron to be sure, but crashes like this make opportunities for those with means to gobble up the big stuff cheap. Sure ground beef is expensive as fuck right now but I bet the wagu steak hasn’t changed nearly as much. Hell when the economy is going well the rabble want a taste of the good stuff. Better to keep them in their place.
Depends on what you are trying to achieve

Lol what the fuck? I assume you are taking about California Forever but desert is a weird word to describe the Sacramento River delta. It is one of the largest estuaries in north america.
