I have the old gulikit ones and don’t really think about them ever which is good. I never tested/confirmed the reported issues on mine or accidentally triggered them but it would be worth finding the video explaining it before committing. You don’t have to do a full teardown but its involved enough that I wouldn’t want to do it multiple times… I say as I look at the ram and wifi upgrades and the sparkly button replacements sitting on the shelf.

you search and go through the results. read a long one 3 screen lengths down the scroll and it was useless. go back to the search and it’s back at the top again. scroll more and question if they are even in the same order.

go to the pins and even though you saw it there yesterday its gone. look again later and it turns out sometimes it just takes loger to load them.

go to read the rules but then find out that sometimes they cant be viewed on android and you have to go to desktop to do it. epecially when the server has a bunch of things to click in acknowledgment before the channels show up.

but can it run linux and real software? what would I want more powerful cpu for if not linux server?

well that’s the first coin in the nani jar in a long while. I have a few 8bitdo models but hopefully this applies to most of them

I haven’t even used gyro since gravity rush on ps4. I regularly forget it’s a feature. The one I’m thinking of I gave to my brother but it had 4 extra buttons that I could map to macros and stuff but in the other mode it was only whatever the 8bitdo app allows, and last I tried that doesn’t work in linux.

Its really too bad you can’t set it to work in any mode on any connection type because that would give it almost full feature parity to the steam controller and having pretty much full configuration ability without needing their app, while coming in the more familiar ergonomic shapes of the 8bitdo product lines.

oh maybe im mixing up the 3. some of them have extra buttons that can be mapped separately to anything including keyboard in steam with bluetooth but only standard xbox/ps controller button duplication in dongle mode

I would potentially prefer the 8bitdo controllers if they supported full steam remapping in 2.4 dongle mode as opposed to just bluetooth.

The touchpads aren’t going to benefit everyone and some games they will be basically useless. I mostly use them for having a grid of keyboard or other inputs for games not designed around controllers, or mouse input for admin menus in multiplayer games that I host, etc.

In japan don’t you just get jouzu’d for any less than native equivalency and/or for looking too gaijin
