My parents had puppies when I was born and I used to roam around with them all day. The day lil baby me discovered that I could access the milkbone cupboard, we feasted like kings.

I get around this by setting my passwords to something easy to type like *******
Completely unrelated, does anybody know why my bank balance always goes back to 0 immediately after my paystubs are deposited?

China is full of shit about it being unintentional, they’ve been playing grey zone games for quite a few years now and the nations around them have caught on. I’d argue missile deployment is exactly proportional to an unplanned breach of airspace by a military asset. It’s historically a pretty good idea to build up your defense when a neighbor is brandishing their military on your borders
Stands for something like child sexual abuse material iirc. It’s a more formal term for child porn, the kind you’d see in like Facebook moderator job descriptions or court filings against accused sex offenders
Even among linux enjoyers redhat has stigma now. Iirc they went closed source a bit ago
Checks out. I used to work at Jimmy johns as a delivery driver, and almost every Friday without fail I’d get an order from a Michelin restaurant at like 430pm before they opened. Loved that delivery
Your dog is adorable :)
I too grew up in a southern military family. Interests other than football or otherwise hurting other people? That’s a paddlin
“Why should the attorney general of the United States be held to a different standard. No one is above the law.”
Fucking rich, you two faced piece of shit. Wonder how she feels about that statement with regards to trump
I like hard shell tacos, though I will say it’s often an exercise in creatively holding broken pieces of taco as I eat it. The secret is to spread a tortilla with refried beans (or any other food that can serve as glue; guac, sour cream, melted cheese, etc) then wrap that around the hardshell taco for a best of both worlds experience. It’s also very much a white people taco night thing; I’d never want a hard shell for a good Mexican or texmex style taco, but if you’re talking about ground beef in a Mccormick spice blend with peripherals from the “mexican” aisle of an American supermarket, hard shells are dope.
It’s basically chaff, lol. We’ve known chaff is an effective radar countermeasure since the 40s, and it seems like the researchers have found the lidar and optical equivalents of chaff. What really scares me is the idea of this evolving into more sophisticated deception attacks like range or velocity gate pulls. No idea how you’d do that with lidar or optically, but I’d bet money that’s a line item on a black budget somewhere

I’ve really enjoyed how much ATS incentivizes that optimization, given that years spent on a settlement count toward the blightstorm cycle. It’s really satisfying to figure out how to max rep as quickly as possible, especially with really hard modifiers like the “no orders” one
It’s been like 8 years, but a chromebook dual booted with debian+xfce got me through undergrad. There’s a set of scripts out there called “crouton” that made it really easy to do
I admittedly didn’t look too hard for that 121bil figure, your source seems much better than the “Google it and grab the first number I see” approach I used. I see 91.36B gross profit for 2022 in your source. That makes the 36,500,000 fine ~0.04% of their profits instead or the 0.03% I got at first, equivalent to a $20 fine on 50k profit. I think the rest of what I said is still valid with the new numbers. Thanks for keeping me honest!
100k/day (36.5 million anually) is ~0.03% of Meta’s 2022 profits (121 billion). That’s not a fine, it’s barely even a tax. If you make 50k/year profit and the government gave you a similar fine, they’d be taking $15 from you. That sounds more like bribe money for Norwegian politicians than a good faith attempt to protect their citizens.
This ad targets women who are married to men who view women as property. Pick any 10 random towns off I-10 in Florida and see how women are treated there and you’ll understand how widespread of a problem this still is. It’s depressing that this ad needs to exist, but it does need to exist right now.
