I would like to start doing this as well. Feel free to post a template of what you usually say to lure people in. I think more people here would be willing to go on a little misonary run 😉

This is true. I made accounts on like 7 different instances when migrating, but now I only ever use like 2
Very true. I’m still amazed how good lemmy is considering how small we still are.
As someone who have distributed on all platforms, Spotify is still the best. Sure it doesn’t pay that well, but it does enable your songs to get discovered and played
Pretty sure no one uses that for exclusives only because it will get so few plays
I love that you replied to my 4 month old post. This would never happen on Reddit!

I’m using Firefox but is it not possible to block ads in chrome too?
I see no difference between mobile chrome/Firefox?
I’m not seeing this issue on Firefox?
So many YouTube channels based around Omegle will have to pivot now
Well it kinda works in a weird way
I mean, it makes sense no? They are a business after all. Why wouldn’t they try to enforce their ads? I personally don’t watch YT that much but why not just pay up if you need ad free experience? The content on YouTube is good because creators get paid well from ads
To be fair, the only reason why YouTube got so big and stayed relevant is THANKS to the ads. Do you think there would be incentives for creators to create good content if there wasn’t as revenue?
How is that different from any other Lemmy client though?
It used to be that Apple wanted to have their own standard in part to be able to sell more cables. By switching now, is actually not stupid- everyone have to buy new cables again
Now Epic games are next, hopefully.
