You just described most European cities I lived in. What are other US cities like then?

Far be it from me to protect this idiot, but wasn’t the whole ruse he was trying to do aimed at getting the wind out of Israel’s sails by claiming he destroyed Iran’s nuclear capabilities?
And I really don’t know who leaked the BDA pics, but it would benefit Israel and the regime change band for his lie to fall apart, right?
It would be illegal for the govt to do so I guess. Why would it be legal for the org to do it if it’s specifically prohibited for individual officers?
The law should bind everyone, including the government.
When you have someone blow the double of the whole healthcare budget on Ukraine fearmongering, who has been supported by a practically unlimited EU budget, it becomes hard to campaign on Ukraine.
Magyar pledged to have a referendum on Ukraine joining, when the question actually comes up. I don’t know what else he can do right now, considering the situation.
Most Hungarians support the unconditional early joining of Ukraine BTW, and a lot more support it if conditions are kept.
They just approved funding to rearm Europe in the sense the EU military budget will surpass the US military budget, and all of it can only be spent domestically in the EU.
Will your domestic production keep selling at the price point you are at now once global prices skyrocket? Will Trump institute a “commie” price cap? Or will we just have another wave of “unprecendented inflation” and price gouging on all levels of the supply chain, with a side of even more layoffs?
And I didn’t say “obsolete”, I said “vulnerable”. As in it’s not a panacea, those weapons can be misused hard enough that the US Navy lost two jets against Houthi rebels without a navy just by being stupid.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not “rooting for Iran” here. I’m saying we’re going to get fucked up again because Israel can’t stop starting wars and genociding people.
Has the US, seeing that it is at war with Iran, found and sunk these subs? Because they sure as hell closed the straits off and tankers are diverting already
How many wars can we as people start this year?
So has that happened yet? The blockade is already on
Iran has at least 25 diesel subs in the specific area, as it is a state secret how many of their midget subs specifically designed for duty in the straits have been commissioned. 20 are verified.
The US has ~80 destroyers around the world.
But the subs are most likely laying mines right now, none of them have been sunk or even found as far as we know. Of course, demining is possible, but it’s long and expensive.
Add to that that US brass was saying they would lose a sea battle against Iran in the straits 20 years ago. Iran has been commissioning 2-4 subs per year since.
And Iran does not want to fight US battle groups, they want to prevent cargo traffic. The US just lost the same battle off Yemen a few months ago, against a country with no navy.
US carrier groups have proven vulnerable to diesel-electric subs every time they come up to the nordics for an exercise. You can’t hit a sub with CIWS, only torpedoes and that’s if you know where they are.
Nordic navies have scored consistent simulated hits against US carrier groups from subs.
Their main defence against this is to stay the fuck away and use jets from afar. Which, if what is said above is true, they are not doing.
Hungary is busy trying to set off another Balkan conflict
Half of the opposition is saying he is not hawkish enough
I can totally see Trump just having a bunch of random bombs dropped in the general area, declaring victory and telling everyone to fuck off though.
Iran will not dispute the strike was effective, and neither will Israel.
It will be worse, because in the very vague details as this is being discussed, this will formally tie them to an employer, so they won’t be able to seek employment that doesn’t hire “illegals”, and basically lets employers deport people.
A visa is a contract between the immigrant and the state, with the employer acting as a third party, not as an intermediary. This is indentured servitude, basically formalising the current system where these people are allowed in as long as they are only used to undercut local wages, but they can’t seek their own happiness and freedom.
Mostly because decent people aren’t psychopaths or sociopaths. All those people already got recruited.
And the kicker is that Europeans went and died in Afghanistan when the US decided to invade it and called Art 5 using 9/11 as pretext. The whole reason those people died was that in this exact scenario the US would still be on our side. And it isn’t.
It’s just insane though, Italy is a major defense manufacturer. Europe would be paying them.
If Trump would rein Israel in and stop the Gaza genocide and the war with Iran, and would put something tangible on the table to guarantee a two-state peaceful solution (like a DMZ with UN troops), I would think that despite his everything, I’d be okay to have him get a Peace Prize.
Stupid thing is, he is really in a position that no president in the past 5 decade at least found himself in, where he could actually do that with impunity, as he doesn’t need Israeli funding to get reelected, and he doesn’t give a fuck about getting anyone in his party reelected either.
Of course, this would need Trump to be both brave and smart, which he is not.
No I meant the way people interact with each other. People in Budapest are the same, you actively have to ignore others to go about your way, too many scammers and weird people around. And also people fighting public transit vehicles.
But then a Serbian motorcyclist broke down a few weeks ago in the city and a bunch of locals made it their mission to get him the parts needed to continue his journey. Another occasion, a bus broke down, the passengers got off, and helped push it off the road to avoid a traffic jam.
I assume that’s just like every bigger city, right?
