I don’t understand the long wait list complaint. If I tried to see my Dr I would have to wait months. I routinely hear of people waiting over a year for specialists. In fact, my wife was scheduled to be medically induced for pregnancy due to health reasons and we had to wait day of because they were understaffed! We have to wait and we have to pay!

It’s not a meme, people genuinely get upset about this. There was a post on a lemmy about the Comptia A+ study guide that had the question “What is GNU” with the answer of “It has to do with Linux” and people were writing essays on why this was not correct.

It’s because it counts as an aircraft. Getting licenced to use your drone for anything more than “wooo, flyin mah drone” covers a lot of the same stuff a private pilot would know like reading the maps, airport landing procedure, and airspace. They treat it like an actual airplane. And you can’t just start blasting at airplanes because they flew over your house. If it’s doing more than just flying over it has to be addressed legally.

I complained enough at my work about this that we shut off fast boot domain wide. I haven’t had to have a “I know that you just turned your computer on but I need you to restart it. No, not shutdown and turn on, restart. Yes, they are different things.” conversation in a couple years. Funnily enough I haven’t seen anyone complain about the significantly longer start up times. I guess people just expect that from windows lol.

Ya, me and my friends had rules created at our tbell due to us winning so much. One of my friends was very brazen about it and would get change for a dollar then win 4 burritos. No idea how brink works. I actually just bought Helldiver’s and played for an hour. All players are fighting against 2 alien races in shared missions. Start a mission by yourself and randoms can join midway. Each win pushes aliens back slightly and losses presumably push humans back. They also have a live game master that can manipulate missions in real time. Massive tuning would need to be done to run a private server of this.

Doesn’t Helldiver’s have MMO systems in it though? I thought the battles were connected into an overarching campaign and progression system.

I didn’t see anyone mention this, but while this headset depicts the outside world when you are wearing it, you are viewing a camera feed of that world. True AR would be like google glass where it is a piece of glass with data projected onto it. Apples thing recreates the world around you and then adds in the applications, you are viewing the world through a filter.

It could also just be marketing too because it seems like they are trying really hard to not make this look like some nerd shit.

I had this happen to me. Bought a 980ti warehouse deal, came in a 980ti box, plugged it in and it was a 980. Amazon took it back without issue. I’m assuming that I received a fraudulent return, and I’d assume the same thing with this 4090. Especially because this was in a return pallet deal, meaning, you know, it was returned to Amazon. We have no idea what Amazon actually sold in the first place.

Currently video is being transmitted compressed with up to 50ms of lag, from what I can find. Wifi 7 should be able to fix both those issues.
