I’d never watch something you’re not into. It’s just miserable to force yourself to watch a show you don’t like. Juat because you read a manga doesn’t mean you should or need to watch its anime.

You see brain drain when educated people leave an area. So does this lead to brain rot?
Wondering if it’s not that healing magic is bad but they wanted to protect from Rose maybe? But the way they tried to show that felt really weird.
Churning a stable of characters in WoW to unlock appearances. And various grinds in Destiny 2. Trying to play more Starcitizen.
Maybe a cynical outlook, but ‘AI’ becoming such a big deal is only going to serve as a means to take out the human element. Why have a person narrate or write your nature show when you can have ‘AI’ mimic a known quantity.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid falls into the fantastical slice of life genre. Interviews with Demi-Girls is probably another one in terms of the setting. Unfortunately a lot of others would be isekai. Campfire Cooking in Another World would be one such isekai. Can’t remember the others without getting on my comp.
The humor here is just right for me. Tearmoon is probably in my top 4 of each week and this week did a great job of ‘why’ that is for me. Sure it’s tropey in that she did what she didn’t want to do, but it’s the way she tries to overcome those situations that are great. And the absolute sass at the end.
Just more monopolies coming I’d wager. Disney is supposedly looking at buying EA. Microsoft and Sony have shown they both would rather buy companies and consolidate studios over how it was before.
As others have said it’ll be not good for the gamer/consumer. Nor will it be good for people working in the industry.
Waaaaaah?! The royal castle? Nope! Proceeds to potion hair and body as I dip out of town. Maybe it’s time to be a hermit.
Curious if the show will have a twist. But even if it’s just the MC enjoying a good game I’m fine with that too.
I’ve watched the 12 available episodes of Helck and yeah it’s just not for me. Feel the world building stuff with a lot of hints about big stuff (time travel is the one I’m most curious about) but don’t think I can get through the second cour.
I’ve loved “Undead Murder Farce”. It feels like that 2010ish BBC Sherlock Holmes meets supernatural creatures and I love it for that. Vending Machine was goofy fun but not the best show of the season for me.
“Helck” is probably my biggest miss. Went in blind and each episode felt pointless in terms of pacing or episodic resolution. The jokes weren’t landing for me either, but that was me.
Yes I know. But I wanted to make a general statement instead of typing out all the realities of corporations in our end stage capitalist hellscape. Typing on my phone is hard lol
Micrsoft’s gaming head honchos were talking about making a monopoly. And it’s clearly the goal. They don’t care about gamers or games just hurting Sony (they said their main goal was to kill Playstation). The ActiBlizz acquire showed them they can buy anyone. Monopolies of any kind are bad, and this would be horrible.
As someone who more and more appreciates having physical discs of media I agree with what you’re saying. We’re seeing not just games but media disappear because they’re digital only.
Digital is super convenient, but it also means you don’t own anything. I’ve still got N64 and Gamecube games and I can play them today. But when specific servers go away I’m out my games from the PS4, PC, etc. Even the few I have discs for. It’s such a bad feeling. Wish more games would launch without needing to be online all the time, especially for single player games. Seeing the depreciation of disc drives makes me sad.
Guild Wars 2 falls into this category for me. Being from the boom of MMORPGs I’m not sure if the deva figured everyone would just get it kr what. The game has a lot of odd choices in places and it does a poor job explaining those choices or even pointing them out.
Super happy to see this recommendation as I’d been thinking it was time to ditch the stock weather app. I love how much info this gives without having to scroll past ads or open up a website. Thanks for the recommendation!
Started off feeling really strong, but found myself dropping a lot of stuff. On the fence about Dedede Demons since it feels like it could be interesting or just boring bait. This season of Yuru Camp /_\ has been good. Not as strong as S1 but much more fun than S2. 7th Prince toes a line but has been fun. Jellyfish Can’t Swim is really good though maybe one or two clunky episodes. Re:Monster started off interesting but by episode 2 or 3 it was clearly an edgy self insert desire fest built on rape and ‘hur hur me MC’, so… fuck that show.
I’ve watched maybe 60 to 70% of what has aired this season and it’s been an okay season anime. Some surprises and returns to excellence (Sound! being back was nice). But also a lot of unmemorable shows that hovered around a 5 or 6.
