It’s worse than that, they’ve been going through their back catalog and adding Enigma Protector DRM to games because the company doesn’t like mods saying they are no different than cheating and some are morally offensive.

Assassin’s Creed Origins, I picked up the 3 pack last year of Origins, Valhalla, and Odyssey on sale, and am just having the time to sit down to play Origins.
Introducing paid mods is something I don’t support but I’m interested to see what things look like when it launches on Starfield.
That aside, I hope they take the empty world complaints to heart, if they can make the world more full I am willing to return to the UC Shitcan and fight for my citizenship.
I’ve got over 100 hours in and all the trophies, nothing left in the base game for me, I’m not doing 10 playthroughs with 1 character though.
The logo bothers me with the number behind GTA, most other games it was GTA with the name over or next to the words. The only thing I am upset about is that it’s coming in 2025, I was hoping for the back half of 2024. Of course, this is also GTA, I think the first trailer for GTA V was in 2010 and the game finally launched for the first time in 2013. So we may not be playing this until 2026.
How’s your new playthrough going?
All while riding a mountain climbing horse that moves slower than a wooly mammoth.
I only have played Fortnite because my nephew was big into it for a long time, now that he and his friends are in high school they have quit playing, I don’t know if that’s a big trend, but he tells me it is just not cool to play anymore.
The giant BR is likely Fortnite, the Battle Royale part that is the game most people know wasn’t supposed to be the big deal, what is now Save The World was supposed to be the game and BR was just going to be tacked on.
And don’t forget it’s just a rental of the game, at any time they could shut off the game or license servers because they don’t want to sell or keep that game anymore.
Todd Howard is that you!?!
I played the game at the beginning of the year, it was OK, I’m glad I missed it at its worst. But, I don’t think I will buy the DLC, maybe if it gets a significant discount for one of the Holiday Sales.
That being said, 2.0 sounds like it’s going to fix the game in a lot of ways, basically making the game what it should have been from the start, I might start a new game if the reviews of the 2.0 system are really good.
What would you say is the minimum GPU to get if you wanted it to last say 4-5 years, obviously knowing over time you’ll need to use a lower setting?
I spent the last week playing through Firewatch by Campo Santo, it was fucking brilliant. I could live with just those games if I needed to because it was great.
That’s a big fucking increase, I was only paying 99 for Extra. I won’t continue to do so, it’s just not worth it anymore. Xbox and PSN increases are pushing me back out of gaming, and no, a PC is not the answer because if I had the 2k for a gaming PC, that would almost last a console generation, I wouldn’t be complaining about PSN/XBL increases.
They are removing the co-op split screen, which 99% of people were likely never going to use, to begin with, I don’t see this as them “giving up” on the Series S. They don’t either…
"We’re taking feedback from devs including Larian. I’m confident we’re going to find a good solution and we’re going to learn. I don’t see a scenario in which we eliminate S.
I hope they find a way to make my SSD replaceable, because based on what I know it’s not possible because of how it’s married to the CPU and motherboard with a security key you can’t copy to a new drive.
Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty, but I’ll give Wolfenstein 3D an honorable mention.
There’s conflicting messaging on it, some on Steam claim when they implement it that mods quit working, and others claim that just isn’t true… I don’t know as I’m not paying what Capcom wants for some of their games, but I know that it messed up compatibility with the Steam Deck when they added it to Monster Hunters in January.
If I owned one of the games that might get it, I would look into keeping a second copy that isn’t updated though. Or turn off auto-updates in Steam.
