If history tells us anything, fascists love advertising that they’re actually socialists and that you should definitely vote for them. And North Carolina got a little taste of what that might feel like last year.
Does this also apply to primaries? My ruby red state has an open primary, and our democrat ran unopposed, so I voted for the less “trumpy” republican for state positions. Excited that my state will have the PSL candidate on the ticket this November though.
Joining/starting unions and mass strikes would be much faster if you are able. Sure, vote too, but the premise of this post specifically says they don’t care what you think. Make them care.
Representatives chosen by sortition like jury duty would be more representative compared to what we currently have, and that’s such a wild thought.
I was more of a Zork Nemesis kid, but I’ll definitely be getting this.
If she didn’t have any bombs to write on in the first place, people might not have such an issue with biden.
Because you’re hyper fixated on a vote months from now that won’t help Palestinians at the current moment? Your priorities are pretty clear.
The point might actually be to sink Biden’s approval rating so low that he’s forced to reverse course on the specific thing making him unpopular and less likely to win.
If you actually cared about Palestine, you’d be on the streets demanding immediate action instead of begging people to check a box months from now when half a million Palestinians have starved to death.
I had to return my bone conduction headphones because it tickled my ears too much when I turned it up so loud that I could hear it over my bike machine. My wired headphones kept dying from my sweat, so I just ended up getting some waterproof-ish JBL in-ear headphones so I don’t have to worry about destroying any of my wireless headphones.
Apple has a masterclass of tiering their products in just a way so that in every tier but the upper tiers, you’re giving up something really important. If you spend the least you possibly can on a MacBook, apple guarantees you’re going to have a very bad time for “doing the bare minimum to be seen with a laptop with an apple logo on it”. Their whole tier system is an exercise in “how can we get away with fucking up these things just enough so the customer feels like it is necessary to spend a little bit more” every step of the way. Then they make it unupgradable so you can’t sidestep their crafted feature tier system.
Don’t have compete with BYD if you don’t allow them to be competition in the US.
If this person’s beliefs are sincerely held, showing people on the internet the “the right way” to go about being serious about privacy is an impossible task. One can’t be on the World Wide Web and “be the change they wish see” (i.e. not be on the web) with regards to their privacy perspective.
And I’m not sure if it’s defeatist to state that all of us, just by being online, likely have some hooks in our mouths. It’s just the cost we pay for not being luddites. Yes, there’s benefits to not having a ton of hooks in us, which is why we do what we do, but even one hook is enough to steal your private info and sell it to everyone. We’re posting to the World Wide Web after all, not Gopher/Gemini/Onion. Hell, this goes beyond the internet since the DMV freely sells your personal information too. We make these limited sacrifices so we have an actual community instead of feeling like we’re self-righteous in our loneliness.
It’s an easy decision to make if you aren’t the one tied to the tracks. Palestinian Americans are losing their families and flipping that lever will neither bring them back nor make the situation better. Not only that, but flipping the lever without any real change of action from the DNC just means they can just trust their base to overlook genocide again and again in perpetuity as long as republicans remain the worse choice (which will be always).
Perhaps we should work to make sure no one is on the tracks instead of pulling the lever?
What a terrible time for me to try to tell friends about how cool Gemini is
As opposed to the 50%+ we have in office now?
