It doesn’t matter how you process the data - looped transformer, harnesses, etc. These are still glorified overgrown statistics machines, and will default to whatever floods it’s data the most because there is ZERO intelligence.

I’ve also checked how they do code, and it’s terrible. The great for very beginner stuff or boiler plate code. By anything as advanced as a website and it’s shit.

Sure, it technically can make a functional website. I tested it just to see how it works. But it does it the equivalent way a human technically can make a functional car out of cobbled together scraps from a scrap yard. It used SO MANY <div> classes for no goddamn reason. So much inline CSS too. It’s like, good fucking luck fixing an issue manually and unravelling the tangle of containers it’s made. You’d have to use the LLM again just to change things at that point because it’d be easier, and hope it doesn’t break a button. Mind you this is a simple HTML and CSS website, not even JavaScript. There’s no way in hell I’d trust anything more complex created via vibe coding.

There’s absolutely no way that the big LLM companies can make enough profit to overcome their expenses in the next decade even, especially since the technology on the open front only continues to improve. It’s not that hard to boycott Amazon, but people from 1st world countries have gotten extremely lazy for very particular things. This is one of them. Buying something already takes more effort than not buying something - units you’re someone born with a silver spoon in your mouth I suppose. People in these countries have a more “throw it away” attitude than a “needs to keep working a long time” one. It’s cultural.

Does it take more time to give something without Amazon? Yes. Does it take a lot more time though? Not really. In the end, it really comes down to just not caring enough about fascism/climate/corruption. Because realistically, by choosing Amazon, you’ve already decided that those things matter less than whatever doodad you’re buying, and outside of something that’s from the base layer of the hierarchy of needs, like medicine or food, you don’t have a good reason.

I’ve grown up poor. I’ve gone through times of poverty so extreme I went without food for nearly a week, and other times would walk miles to forage for food in a forest. While in university. The ones in high horses are the ones privileged enough to think needing to buy something from Amazon is a realistic issue.

I live in Finland and have managed to always find an alternative. Ireland gets way more shipping options than Finland. You’re literally just not searching hard enough.

1. don’t use Google. It always only tries to give regional search options. Use Startpage and change the region.

2. search in a different country’s language. If searching in Poland for example, search in Polish.

And heck, if you somehow still can’t find what you need from those stores, just look at China - EU shops. Most of Amazon’s shit is from China anyway, so might as well avoid the middleman.

Spain’s protests did include violence. A great deal of people fought off police and set up barricades to prevent that elderly woman from being evicted. The peaceful protests were also backed by the threat of escalation if nothing was done.

The protests were about accountability - it’s easier to change a database about how much work you did later than it is to change a physical paper given to you months ago. That’s not a hypothetical, that’s something that happens and not just in France.
