God, the number of people here who don’t know what “more likely” means is insane. Just because you aren’t trans, enby or disabled doesn’t mean the study is bullshit because you hate AI. It means that if you walk up to a random person and ask them about AI, they’re more likely to hate it if they exist in one of those groups.

Secondly, studies like this have value because they can clue people into issues that a community is having. If everyone is neutral about a thing, except for disabled people (who hate it), then maybe that means that the thing is having a disproportionately negative impact on disabled people. Studies like this are not unlike saying “hey, there’s smoke over there, there might be a fire.”

Because I don’t even know where to start. The biggest part, I suppose, is that if you give them a space like this, it normalizes the movement. People stop feeling like there is something wrong with disliking the LGBT community, the movement grows as it is no longer stigmatized, and LGBT rights backslide.

Furthermore, holding a “hetero pride” festival during pride month is inherently bigoted as well. Pride month exists because straight people wouldn’t let gay people express themselves otherwise. Your idea isn’t totally unlike the idea of letting klansmen openly hold festivals during Black History month so they stop harassing black people.

A) the game’s rating would skyrocket as it’d almost universally get upgraded to an AO rating or equivalent (not sure if that’s actually something they care about though)

B) while not technically illegal afaik, there are a number of countries that would almost certainly ban the game if it showed children being killed. My understanding is that’s why child deaths occasionally show up in movies and TV, but tend to be avoided like the plague in video games.

shrug Idk if it’s really that insane. Tbh I’m not convinced the hype isn’t being manufactured. I have a cousin who’s a pretty bog standard, flavor-of-the-month gamer, and he’s said nothing about GTA VI.
