I thought that the appropriate term for a hurricane-like storm anywhere in the Pacific was “typhoon,” but it appears that that is reserved for the Western Pacific. I can forgive people for changing their minds once they’ve learned and experienced more. However, at this point, I don’t think that there is actually any excuse for not learning or experiencing enough to not know who or what they’re supporting. MAGA should be carved into their foreheads à la Inglourious Basterds. They’re kinda proving that those are unnecessary, though. They’re in uncanny valley and espousing literal Nazi ideology and still getting elected. At that point, why even buy lipstick for the pig in the first place? Their dog whistles have been packed up in boxes in the attic for years. Echo chambers that blame scapegoats, vilify opponents, and deify their candidates are all that is really necessary. The cops didn’t approach somebody that they suspected of having shot up a building, citing safety concerns. The cops allowed a potentially violent domestic terrorist to continue to have the ability to carry out more attacks because that person was deemed to be too much of a threat to engage with. So if you crime violently enough in Phoenix, there are no consequences due to police cowardice? I mean, the only other way to read that is that the police are complicit if not downright supportive of attacks on the DNC office.

I’m in a similar boat. There have been some setbacks, but I’ve been planning a desktop build to replace my gaming laptop from 2015 for a long while now. SteamOS has given me the confidence to commit to an AMD build with a Linux OS. I’ve been on the fence between a few distro options though. Maybe mint, maybe Nobara, there have been a few others.

The story here is that he can’t show any level of gratitude for the thing that has helped his own mother because he’s such a partisan piece of shit. The ACA sucks, but healthcare in this country was a complete dumpster fire before it passed, and it will return to being a complete dumpster fire if it’s repealed without a more expansive replacement in place.

This is the most terrifying part. They say that he’s “liberated” now, but to me that just means he has nothing to lose. Assuming he lives past January 2029, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain by throwing all resources into staying in power. He has no reason to give a fuck about whether anything he does or says is “popular” once he’s sworn in. There will be zero consequences for anything until he leaves office, if he leaves office.
