God gave plenty more laws in the next few books of the Bible. The famous commandments about not mixing fabrics or cutting your hair? Yeah Moses of the Ten Commandments is behind that book too.

So if it makes sense to charge people in India 1/4 the people in the US why can’t we pretend we are in India? People travel to other continents for healthcare.
Nvidia makes a real product. An AI bubble might hurt them but probably not the same as the companies who have been buying their product.
Go place a plaque that says “Mustafa Ataturk” and watch people’s heads expose that he was actually a very small cat and not a normal sized human.
Excel: a tool to make an ignored case that the data should be handled in a database
Still really valuable
As an outsider, who does not seriously game, this is not surprising.
Ten years ago, the people best at COD or halo or whatever cut a lot of class. Practiced a lot. And it was not fun to get whooped by your friend over and over again. I still to this day have friends I won’t play Mario cart with. Why would I?
Fast forward. Instagram and Facebook are designed to be as addictive as possible. We had Farmville. Candy crush. Mods to let you pull the trigger faster. All the the video game micro transaction scandals. Tiktok is now the premier addiction algorithm. Why wouldn’t these billion dollar enterprises use all these data points to juice their business?
If you need a game to justly stroke your ego, play chess.

They inspected every snake with a hjman sized lump
I think it’s worse than that. The work is about the same. The skill and pay for that work? Lower.
Why pay 10 experienced journalists when you can pay 10 expendable fact checkers who just need to run some facts/numbers by a Wikipedia page?
After skimming the beginning, it seems the argument is that there are probably lots of latent survival tools built into their (any) culture. If they take up the internet as a past time, they will stop doing this other past time that has benefits for the survival of the community in their particular location. For example, if they stop playing some game about colored rocks, the ability to differentiate colors will diminish, eventually causing them to be unable to properly distinguish berries in gathering activities, leading to the end of their society.
Is that the up shot here?
I’ll never make it sadly.
But I dream of a game that kind of looks and feels like a Pokémon game. But you are a witch or herbalist going round the different biomes in a fantasy setting making remedies and potions like a morrowind game.
So obviously there’s be your dying grandma or mentor and some sort of evil overtaking the land. You set out of the city with your knife, shovel and glassware. There’d be a pokedex of plant and animal parts to find and fill out. Roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, then maybe also monster parts. There’d probably be a crafting tree like I’m Minecraft. Different biomes, seasons, or biome locations would inevitably have to be gated by tools or potions.
Eventually you’d discover the recipe to make the thing to defeat the BBEG and he’d probably show up to stop you from getting the last and rarest ingredient in the potion. Etc.
Would definitely need to ride the knifes edge of challenging a players knowledge and intuition about botany, as well as tropes in witchcraft and fantasy. Without being too hard, too requiring of memory and notes…
A challenge to making the game? Would need probably 5x the art in an old Zelda or Pokémon game. Talking 200+ unique foraged items, 6+ biomes with sub biome/habitats. Monsters. Townsfolk. Etc. Oh and I’d like have to learn how to code and make art. So yeah. Someone. Please make this game for me. Or tell me it exists.
Old news. The spacecraft has already LEFT the moon.
The bad Ai dj. The car thing they rolled back. The new logo that’s the same as the old one, but now border. The cache that causes you to hear the same ten songs multiple times in a week.
Oh yeah this artist I like dipped out for Cara but he didn’t seem to suggest it was really an Instagram replacement.
Is there a FOSS Instagram? I miss just having a simple “photo diary” to share with friends and family.
States must have a constitution that guarantees a representative government. I’d love someone to take this to SCOTUS saying Kansas can’t have federal reprentation if they don’t guarantee the right to vote.
It’s a story about the longest running study of dolphins. So yes.
