It’s even worse, when I tell my work Windows 11 computer to shut down and I have to choose update and shutdown because it decided to do updates, sometimes it reboots a few times but then it doesn’t turn off afterwards.
I’m never going to install Windows 11 on any of my devices, it’s so bad.
Nobody here sent them to you. They came because they could get away with such behaviour and even get rewarded for it in the US.
So useless, just use overhead lines or batteries.
Hydrogen is just so much less efficient that it doesn’t make sense except for industrial processes where there is no alternative.
The train line close to us already switched to battery trains and most other lines are overhead powered. And then the battery train just charges when it gets to parts of the tracks where there is overhead lines, no extra infrastructure needed.
It’s possible to go one step further and to just grow the mint yourself, mint is probably one of the easiest plants to grow.
But please just grow it in a pot and with some distance to other soil in the bottom because otherwise you will have mint everywhere and it will be very hard to remove, it will become a bad weed.
I have planted it two years ago and sometimes if I feel like it I water it and so far it’s gotten pretty big from just some small plants.
They would also sell datacenter RAM for lower prices to get market share there. Of course they would still make a good profit, but they wouldn’t be able to sell at the same prices as established manufacturers anyway since they first have to prove themselves.
Because who would buy RAM by an unknown manufacturer if you could get it at the same price from a known manufacturer?
Bur we’ll see what happens first, the AI bubble popping or chinese manufacturers producing RAM. Both will help lower the price.
And there is actually a reason to sell consumer RAM, if they establish themselves as a good brand to buy RAM from they can get some loyal customers which might buy from them again, whereas there is no real long term loyalty or reliability in datacenter RAM. If the AI bubble pops they will stop buying it.
Chinese companies are very competitive, especially between each other. If there is a way to take market share, they will do it. If they make too much profit their CEO risks being disappeared by the chinese government.
Just look at the crazy low solar panel prices which mostly come from china.
Diese Auflagen finde ich ziemlich bescheuert, wenn man einen Gasherd oder eine Gasheizung hat kann das Gas daraus auch in die Wohnung kommen und brennen. Und wenn man zum Campen Gaskartuschen zuhause hat, ist dort auch viel brennbares Gas drin.
Was mich bisschen nervt, ist dass die Klimademos hier meistens gegen 12 Uhr am Freitag zu sein scheinen. Dafür dann immer einen Urlaubstag zu nehmen ist es mir nicht wert.

Car tires usually weigh more than 7kg and you need 4 instead of two.
The only slightest bit of an argument here could be for trains.
I also need maybe 5 specialised tools to service my bike (which is veeeery easy to do compared to doing it on a car) and those tools together cost less than 200€. Then I spend around 200€ a year or less on parts to service my bike, and I use it to go to work every day.
My car is sooooo much more expensive than that, even though I do most stuff myself.
I’m paying for fiber, copper here would be more expensive for less speed lol.

Wird bei uns auch bald kommen, wir benutzen den ganzen Microsoft Rotz sowieso schon, das macht dann auch kein Unterschied mehr. Das geht von Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel über Windows und Edge bis hin zu Sharepoint, OneDrive und Dynamics.
Ich will nicht wissen wie viel das alles kostet, es funktioniert zwar, aber wirklich gut funktioniert es nicht, ich hab da öfters Bugs.

Yes, this is how it is in Germany too and in my experience travelling it is like that in a lot of Europe.
Unmanned stations are a relatively recent thing here, so the first time I wanted to fill up at one I thought the pump was broken before I realised I have to pay first lol.
Yeah, I would be happier to have autonomous cars on the freeway than on other roads. There are usually no pedestrians on freeways that can be overlooked.
But I’m even happier that there are no autonomous cars driving by itself where I live right now.
It’s simple, if you only get one match for every 100 likes/swipe right you give out, you simply don’t have time to read every profile properly.
Especially if 9 out of 10 matches don’t even respond after messaging them.
That has been my experience and I am not even right wing.

But in the fight with GamersNexus Linus basically admitted that they don’t have time to properly fact check stuff because they would make less money if they released less videos.
And ESPhome works very well together with Home Assistant if you want to build stuff yourself.
Just get an ESP32 and a sensor or other device that is supported by ESPhome and you will be able to program and connect it very quickly.
There are also ways to use sensors that are currently not supported by ESPhome by writing a custom component, but that is something that I don’t do, too much effort and it’s not that easy.
It’s also crazy just how many different devices can be connected to Home Assistant. If it is at least somewhat widely used chances are good that someome has already written a plugin to make it work.
