I’m jealous. I always love a good phone with a keyboard. Wish we could get more of these back in style.

And removable battery. This will be coming for EU soon, hoping for the rest of us too.
Absolutely bonkers that a company can claim to be environmentally friendly despite their phones being practically disposable once the battery gets under 70% health.
Why is this just about “minorities” and what is a “minority”? Who is going to define this definition? Why is this not also for hate of any kind such as calls for violence to “non-minorities”?
Who decides what is hateful and worthy of removal? How is it not censorship? This is such a dumb article lol
You don’t have to be a free speech advocate. It’s fine if you want censorship, just quit changing definitions to make yourself sound less authoritarian.
I always thought the abomination that is SaaS came from Adobe
Yeah…what we have today as “AI” makes a ton of mistakes. Well, maybe not a ton, but enough that it cannot be relied on without a human to correct it.
I use it as a foundation at work.
ChatGPT, write me a script that does this, this, and that.
I often, like 98% of the time, won’t get what I asked for or will get something that it interpreted incorrectly. It’s common sense to me but maybe not to others to not run whatever it spits out blindly. Review what it outputted, then test it somewhere. I often create a similar file structure somewhere else and test there and then after a few tests and reviewing and making modifications, then I feel comfortable running whatever it spit out to me.
But I don’t think I’ll ever not double check whatever any type of AI spits out as a response to me for whatever I’ve asked. Humans should always have the last word before action, especially when it comes to healthcare.
If you really value free speech, you’d let people speak things that you disagree with. Otherwise, no, you aren’t advocating for free speech.
I’m all for free speech! But only if you say things that don’t upset me :(
There’s an app I got for Plex for my Meta Quest 3 and I gotta say that it is top notch. They have a bunch of settings for how you’d like your environment to look like but I prefer the one that makes you feel you’re at the movies and it really does feel that way.
Not sure if that’s what you were getting at or not but I enjoy it when I’m out and about instead of using my iPad or iPhone.
Downside is that you need to sideload this which requires a Meta developer account (free, just unnecessary hassle) as far as I know. Other is that it requires Plex and not the native Netflix/etc. app. Though YouTube has a similar format in their official app.
I mean I want one but the only reason I don’t have one is because I’m not paying $3500 for one. And even if I could get one used for under $1000, I’m still not because a majority of customers feel the same way, so this was DOA for that reason alone. No developer is developing anything fun for this en masse with no customer base.
I think a majority of people are in this boat. People flock to anything with the apple logo on it, but this was just too damn expensive.
That headset is more expensive than most MacBooks, just for reference.
Exactly what I’m thinking.
I don’t know how this works, but my idea is: create a new Windows install in a VM, download this software and then use a burner email if it requires an email account.
I’m not really sure how they could lock something like that down except the fact this is too much for some people or the fact that it’s something they need to think up.
Nice! Thanks for the recommendation, I love having alternatives in case anything unexpectedly goes down.
There’s a good one for Amazon called Keepa that shows you the price history of the item. Helps a ton keeping prices in check during sales like Prime Day to see how much you are actually saving, if anything.
Also nice to see how much you could potentially save if you just wait for the next sale or if there was already a price decrease. Often times it looks like I’m good buying without waiting for any sale as the sales only knocked off a few dollars, at most.
I got that too until I backed out and came back in.
I know Netflix has/had this if you video recorded. I thought I found a great way to download shows/movies until it was just a black screen.
Oh really? I didn’t know that was a thing.
So you tell Siri “Use ChatGPT” and then it switches over?
I had asked Siri what it could do after the update and didn’t get much information on what new features there were or how to access them.
I really don’t get the advantage. It just feels like Siri with less.
My ex’s last name was pronounced worse after the upgrade too. It used to enunciate the T in the last name and then after spoke it like there was no T. Always bothered me when I would ask Siri to make a call to her.
It looks pretty? But beyond that, I’m not feeling any advantages like what ChatGPT or Copilot have.
I already experienced this with that one small robot a few years ago. It was resurrected a few years later but required a subscription.
That was the beginning of me not caring for subscription based products and being weary of products that relied on servers instead of being locally hosted.
So their processor is so powerful it somehow reaches out to another universe to use power for computation functions…? How do you even prove something like this?
The salesman at our local Ford dealership was bragging about how his dealership puts a $50k markup on all new Lightnings that hit their lot.
I left and never plan on going back to that one ever again.
Ford supposedly doesn’t like dealerships doing that but I’ve heard of tons of similar stories all over the US.
It’s really crappy we can’t just get a vehicle at a decent price without all the unnecessary bullshit.
Hilarious chaos has been pretty cool in this regard. I like that the admins don’t take themselves seriously and are very active here.
