Sorry miss/mam! Yeah I was looking at the used stuff if I want to go very cheap there’s some options, makes sense I can see these either getting outgrown or people giving up on it. But I’d want at least real pedals ideally double and maybe with those mesh things?

Nice genres yeah I was thinking punk rock for sure just for good mood and workout and pretty easy technically. I didn’t even think about playing trip hop which is funny considering that’s kinda the genre I produced in.

Damn I’m really feeling like it now, the other day I was able to play an acoustic one for like 10min really gives me the itch haha. Only realistic option though is I’ll have to move the workout bench etc every time I think…

    Thanks and happy drumming 🥁

Nice one man sounds like you’re progressing nicely!! I played them quite a bit when I was younger and I’ll go do the couple rhythms I still remember when I come across a kit so should be enough to get back into it enough to get a sweat. Biggest challenge is space and expense tbh!

I’ve been thinking about this. I don’t have much time for music these days nor would I really have the mental capacity for the creativity necessarily, but I could replace some of my workout time with “work out on some e-drums” time… Bit challenging to fit it at home but might be doable… Thomann makes some cheap-ish sets that look OK. Haven’t seriously played drums since I was a teen.

  • The one on the left is a true SIC (Standard Issue Cat) and while I could definitely still tell them apart with my cat even if not next to each other, SICs are pretty similar for sure, for example they all have the M on the forehead. The other one has some white bits so totally different as far as I’m concerned. Cutie pies btw!

  • Yep, I’m European, I had my savings in a world ETF until last week when I pulled them out. Right now, they’d be higher than they were when I sold. Does it hurt a bit? Sure. Do I even consider going back in? Fuck no.

This kinda volatility is great if you’re a degenerate gambler or have the insider knowledge. I’m neither of these things and I’m in a personal situation where I don’t know when I’m gonna need these funds, ideally it’s in 20/30 years but no guarantees, and also I’m not in a position to keep buying monthly right now and since the last couple of years.

Now I’m just gonna sit on it for a while, and find ways to park my savings as far from the US as possible, certainly not in a world fund anymore which are 60/70% US exposure.

Congrats, they successfully pushed me and many like me out of the market so they can keep “the game” to themselves.
