Da geb ich dir recht, aber bei manchen Fragen haben politisch weniger Involvierte oft die falschen Antworten. Meine Eltern beispielsweise würden auf die Frage:

Möchtest du soziale Politik? -> Soziale Partei Deutschlands

antworten, obwohl sie die letzten Wahlperioden alles andere als soziales Programm gemacht haben. Meine Antwort wäre die Linke. Deine vielleicht die Grüne.

Seine Entscheidung auf lediglich einem Wahlprogramm zu basieren ist ohnehin der falsche Ansatz. Wie viel von dem, was im Koalitionsvertrag vereinbart wurde, oder dem, was in dem Wahlprogramm deiner letzten Wahl stand, ist wirklich passiert?

Man sollte sich die einzelnen Politiker anschauen und deren vergangenen Taten beurteilen, sprich die Entscheidung darauf basieren.

Aber wer bitteschön hat denn dafür Zeit?

Zu dem Leben, der Arbeit und den Katzen kommen bei mir noch ein Neugeborenes und ein Umzug dazu. Die Zeit, die ich mir ergattern kann, stecke ich in psychische Erholung, sonst dreh ich völlig am Rad. Ich denke, dass das eines der größten Probleme der zivilisierten Menschheit ist. Keine Zeit für korrekte Meinungsbildung.

Also da muss ich hinter dir stehen. Natürlich muss man auch an die Vermögenden heran, wie wir es in der Geschichte schon immer mussten. Diese Gehälter finde ich allerdings auch überzogen und geredet wird darüber nicht wirklich. Im Jung und Naiv Podcast wird ab und zu mal über so etwas geredet. Dort scheint unsere Meinung aber schon allgemeiner Konsens zu sein, also ist das Thema eher schon abgehakt.

Luckily, our e2e tests are pretty stable. And unfortunately we are not given the time to write integration tests as you describe. The good thing would be that with these mocks we were then also be able to load test single services instead of the whole product.

We merge multiple times a day and run only those e2e tests we think are relevant. Of course, this is not optimal and it is not too rare that one of the teams merges a regression, where one team or more talented at that than the others.

You see, we have issues and we realize we have them. Our management just thinks these are not important enough to spend time on writing integration tests. I think money and developer time are two of the reasons, but the lack of feature documentation, the lack of experts for parts of the codebase (some already left for another employer), and the amount of spaghetti code and infrastructure we have are other important reasons.

I think I was 11 or 12 when I started plaxing Tibia (a very early MMORPG). I really enjoyed it. At some point I found out that somebody has leaked the source code. You could host your own Tibia server. You could create new map segments or introduce new quests by Lua scripting. There was a huge community for “Open Tibia”, hundreds of servers with thousands of players. First, I got into mapping, then I got into scripting and loved it.

Welche Aufgaben muss die KI denn überhaupt lösen:

• Speech to Text
• Text to Sign language oder beides auf einmal. Allerdings bezweifle ich, dass es dafür gute Modelle gibt.

Klar, für ersteres muss eine gute KI genommen werden. Open Source kenne ich da nichts gutes. Und nein, KALI ist nicht gut, es ist scheiße im Vergleich zum Stand der Technik. OpenAI Whisper finde ich extrem gut, allerdings datenschutztechnisch schlecht. Wenn die da etwas gutes finden, was auch mit Deutsch funktioniert, dann… Aber ja, daran wird es haken.

Zweiteres, Text to Handsprache, da sehe ich überhaupt kein Problem. Das können, ich kenne mich mit Handsprache nicht sonderlich gut aus, Bilder seien, die aneinander gereiht sind und zwischen denen interpoliert wird.

Da wird es bestimmt einige witzige Vergebärdensprecher geben 😄 Ich finde das allerdings nicht so dramatisch, wenn es meistens gut funktioniert und wir somit alle wichtigen (oder mehr) Sendungen übersetzen.

Thanks, that gives me some room for thought! I haven’t tried auto shift yet, so I don’t know whether it works for German.

Layers are fine, but I did not yet find the right keys to access those layers. I’m not sure whether I want my shift and ctrl be located on my thumb or pinky keys. I would like my layer switch keys to be on the thumb keys, but then I have to put them there along with shift and ctrl with click, hold, and double click allocations. That is too complicated though.

I’m kind of missing the accessibility of keys on a standard keyboard, but I like the efficiency I can type regular letters on the Piantor.

I haven’t tried home row mods yet.

How do you assign and use special keys? I see I need them frequently, but I have not yet found a way to access them easily on other layers.

So far that is the only reason that keeps me from using my new Piantor.
