Yeah, that’s not worked for me either, it just micromanages my current hyper-fixation in great detail and depth. It’s a two-wolves situation, with impulsivity and in-depth nerdery

4·2 months agoYou’ve clearly never had it. You neck it immediately, it’s an espresso shot, but instantly cooled by flowing over an ice cube. It’s not watered down any significant amount, you don’t wait for the ice cube to melt, you’re missing how much latent energy there is in the change between frozen and liquid in ice. There’s plenty to cool a small shot without melting the whole thing. It keeps the sweetness and even most of the texture of the original shot, it’s just not hot, it’s worth trying

101·2 months agoEspresso is often served over an ice cube in Spain, and it’s fuckin great, to use the technical term. If it’s hot, I’m all for the cold and tasty
I’ve fitted one into my old pickup, but again not worth the amount of complication that they generally come with, eg a massive screen in the dash and the canbus nonsense to go with it. I’d rather not have the level of canbus integration of modern cars, where a locking module or whatever failing can stop the whole car working
Not sure that it’ll be available this side of the Atlantic that soon, but it does seem pretty interesting
That’s very much my thinking, the kits have come down in price a huge amount recently, so it’s almost achievable now
I’d love to buy an electric car, but I want one with no electronics, if that makes sense. Electric power train, but no screens, “driver aids” or other nonsense

5·5 months agoI’m elbow deep in Fallout 4. I don’t think we need it described here at length, it’s very much Fallout, but great because of that. I’m enjoying the simple delights of romping about capping fools with a stubby lever rifle dressed in my nice shiny Vim-branded power armour

My next vehicle will be an early 90s Mercedes.
