I don’t know the context that spawned this rant. However I think scientists and the scientific community are often way too dogmatic and full of ideology these days. Also people tend to be way too stuck in the narrow views of their field. So in a way I agree that questioning the generally accepted interpretations, used methods and so on is a good thing.

So if someone holds their postulate and interpretation without probable causality as the only truth that is not in the spirit of science.

When acting upon scientific evidence however one often will have to be more pragmatic and some form of consensus has to be reached even if the methods likely can’t fulfil our ideas of science. In that regard maybe your views shown in your comments are a bit narrow as well. But it doesn’t mean yours wrong.

I clicked the buttons and followed the tutorial. All I needed was my PC, the phone and a USB-C cable.

Setup was easier than the android I was used to with all the bloat on it.

Haven’t used Arch (steam OS doesn’t really count) but Fedora for a long time. It is great.
