Former Buckeye here, I agree with you. So many were positive their vote wouldn’t change anything. No amount of encouragement could make them see the power of the large numbers they held.

I hope some type of voting reform can catch on. I think Star, Ranked or anything better, could cause enough curiosity in how it works to encourage more people to register.

Well, if hypothetically, I was forced to vote, and thn for only one of these 2 parties only… well, I’m not a rich white guy, I’m not racist, misogynistic, don’t believe sharpies change weather… and, I don’t want to find out just how close he would be to starting the next Nazi party. I lived there for almost a decade, about a decade and a half ago. It was so run down and dying then. People wouldn’t come see us there that we had known all our lives because it was so dangerous. Pizza places wouldn’t deliver down our street, we would have to walk to the main corner to get delivery. We paid a crack head to watch our house while we were away for a weekend.

I was in disbelief back when I heard about the factories deciding to build there after we had up and left… finally, after barely scraping enough together from living and working there. I wondered how they would fare but didn’t follow up on it then.

I researched and verified everything you said above, and informed some other family on Fb, that was trying to stir the shit. They would hear none of it.

I never realized they were a breed till we got one. He’s so different than his “brothers and sisters” -no realtions, but we got 5 currently. Started looking up his description to see if others had anything similar, like the orange one brain cell boys or something. Found out i had a Nebelung.

I like Sleep as Android. I have had it for so many years though, I apologize that I cannot remember if it is part of the premium upgrade. Has tons of custom sleep and wake settings.

I am a light sleeper and really like that I can set it to just vibrate for a time. If that didn’t wake me up it will start a random song and increase in volume.

I like it! I don’t know to look for something if I don’t know it exists yet. Something like this would really help with browsing.

Not OP but it got my brain curious. Found several different sites about it, here are 2 that seem fairly reputable. Apparently a 12yr old genealogy buff did an extensive search to map the presidents and came across some connections that kept them going till they found the chain of relatives for each one.

It doesn’t seem like “put on your tin foil hat close-related”, more “if you go back far enough most of us are kin in some way related”. Though, the fact that the only one who is not related, was actually appointed instead of elected, does make it look a little weird.

How can I be sooo disgusted by human feet yet want to tickle little toe beans so badly.

We have an orange cat that I threaten to tickle his toe hairs all the time (his toes splay out when you get them and he gets all feisty, yet gentle playing, i know he really loves it). If I heard someone talking like that over a person’s feet, I’d prob get a lil sick. Even knowing full well what they walk through, I’ll take cat tootsies over human ones all day.

Sure, but he’s unwilling to let others grow and make their own choices in their time. Just because you don’t do something anymore is no reason to ban everyone else from doing it now, let alone criminalize it. He got to be curious and explore who he is, he should be letting others do the same. Exposing this stuff helps show what he is taking away from others even though it was OK when he did it.

I’m thinking, if you got to have fun, minding your own business… not hurting anyone; No matter how much you may have grown or changed and no longer like or approve of doing those activities, you don’t get to be part of a brigade that strips the rights from people who DO choose to and again, aren’t hurting anyone. You don’t get to incite violence against people who are Minding Their Own Fucking Business without the bare minimum of getting exposed for being a fucking hypocritical piece of shit.

It absolutely does. We need to fix it very badly. And we will have 0 chance of that with the current Maga candidate if they get back into office. This time it does matter greatly to keep the self imagined god-king from getting anywhere near our presidency again if we hope to have any chance of a future reform. As soon as those votes get tallied in Nov and he is out, I’m back to burn it all till you take out the electoral college and give us better options for election choices.

Our presidential election is coming up this fall and we are on the ledge of losing our democracy depending on the outcome. It’s kinda on our minds quite a bit.

Guess I should have worded that more as, “make my employer understand and make the switch”. We can tell them till we’re blue in the face but they do not seem to care.
