“He’s at the Hilton!” “Well then, let’s go there!” “I dunno, it doesn’t sound great. This guy only ranked it 2 stars, and apparently it really hates cops.”

This has very “I have tons of black friends” vibes.
We’ve just hit another scene shown in the ED, and I am so excited to see them all play out. I honestly thought it would take longer to get there, but I won’t complain for a second.
I don’t think Ichikawa is the kind of person to act that quickly, and Yamada was probably just blushing cause he was in the room and heard it all.
If the image is even slightly convincing, it’s essentially just defamation with digital impersonation thrown in. Yeah, that might catch photoshop in its net, but you’d need to be a DAMN good artist to get caught in it as well.
I knew it was coming, but it definitely caught me by surprise that it came out already. It’s a treat.
People come here because it’s big. It’s big because people come here.
What if we went over there? What if we made the one over there big? Big, and entirely under the control of actual fans of anime who don’t dismiss the entire medium as porn, I might add. Wouldn’t that be better?
It’s a class action lawsuit. It represents the rights of an entire group, even if it’s only a single person bringing forward the suit. It’s not about the harm done to a single person.
If a thief steals one dollar from a thousand people, you could say “oh, that person only lost a dollar” or you could say “that thief stole a thousand dollars”. The harm suffered to each individual was minimal, but harm was suffered, and if you add it all up, a lot of harm was done. That’s not frivolous.
I would disagree with that being a plot twist, though. You’re aware of both possibilities from very early on, and the idea that it’s real appears later than the idea that it’s not. It’s hard for it to be a twist when people keep directly telling you what the twist is going to be before it happens.
None. It’s not a good plot twist. Even the Truman Show didn’t use it as a plot twist, but as a premise. If the story was engaging without the twist, then it’s a gut punch to suddenly pull the rug and say “gotcha! The plot was meaningless!” If the story wasn’t engaging, then you didn’t get far enough to see the twist.
With a name like that, I will be upset with anything that doesn’t include the word “ahyuck!”
YES.
All of it. In my face. I have been waiting for this for over a year. It’s almost here. July.
To anyone who doesn’t know much about this, it’s a girl flirting with a boy using harem tropes in one of the cutest and most real-feeling romance stories I have ever read. This is my straight-up favourite manga, and I am looking forward to the anime.
