3·2 months agoI’m saying no. I could find nothing on the books that prohibits specific printer tech or mandates hidden tracing be added for it to be legal.
Using the tool for illegal activities is illegal, owning a printer capable of producing fake notes isn’t.
Where are you seeing that it’s illegal? I own a pen plotter that can print things without tracking dots and that’s not illegal. I don’t see why this would be any different.
I’ve been here for a couple of years now and have never gotten anything like that. I even occasionally ban people (which I can’t imagine they are too happy about). 🤷♂️

8·3 months agoI’m super curious to read the license and understand how this is allowed:
- Run your own version of server modules for testing or experimentation
- Make (and sell) a game similar to BitCraft with your own IP (art and themes) using our code as a basis
But what you quoted isn’t.
10·3 months agoWe’re talking about a government sponsored surveillance operation. I promise you they already know which license plates belong to you. I’m not sure I understand the risk here.

No.
6·4 months agoIt’s more a list of warnings signs.
- blurred/virtual background (we make them turn it off during interviewing)
- refusal to do gestures or follow specific instructions (wave your hand in front of your face)
- not familiar with local knowledge like weather
- appearing to read from the screen or phone
There’s more than that, but those are the highlights.
It not practical at a remote first company to fly people out to where we happen to have offices when they could be working from anywhere.
It’s cheap-ish for a flight, but at scale, the starts to become an expensive hiring pipeline.
It’s not that, it’s that they are incredibly sophisticated in their techniques. I just had to sit through 90 minutes of training about how to spot fake applicants.
