Glasses at half-mast?
Looks like there’s already one: !linuxquestions@lemmy.zip
Actually useful bot idea where it transcribes the video and posts it as a comment.

Likely because it’s $current_year and there are better choices available.

I don’t have any recommendations, but have seen a community for these types of games that may be relevant:

Pixels of the photos so everyone can have a piece of history! /s

I have been working on a Wayland Tiling WM and have thought about expanding more into the DE space. While it’s finally starting to get to a good spot, it’s pretty daunting to consider all of the other items that need to be developed for a fully-featured DE. Especially when it’s something I’m doing as a side project after my day job. I think for anything bigger it’d require financial backing, for which open source projects are still struggling to find a good solution.

And index it against inflation. 😉

What might be interesting would be to have it displayed, but grouped by instance. That way we could see some data and potentially uncover troll instances or attempts to brigade the conversation without opening ourselves up to personal attacks.

Also donate! It’s unfortunate that money is a requirement for campaigning, but it is and helps win races.

Wow, no need to make this personal. /s

After seeing him on The Daily Show last night, Pete Buttigieg seems like a good pick. He has the added bonus of not requiring a special election or interim replacement.
I know he’s old, but this could be a winning ticket. Keeping Harris as a compromise and continuity. Iwould instantly max out donations if he was picked. Which of course means it’ll never happen…

I think it’d be fine to keep her on the ticket as VP for a compromise. That way at least there’s some continuity.

Incoming ‘health concern’? 🤔

It’s hard to tell if it’s a similar cause, but I had issues with double-inputs and occasionally keys would work intermittently on my Dactyl Manuform.
After getting frustrated enough having resoldered it several times, I hot-glued the PCBs to the case. The thinking that small movements during a key press was causing the contacts to be broken. Everything has been working great ever since!
If you want to be cautious and have a multimeter, you could also check the connections between the keys. That might help isolate where to focus your efforts.

Plants and animals don’t file tickets.

Yeah, lack of XWayland support has been an issue for me. Versioning the config API is something I’ve been considering, or at least ensuring backwards compatibility.
I’d be interested in other ideas or pain points you’ve experienced. Not to suggest I’ll ever have something production-grade, but my hope is to get to a point that I have a working daily driver and potentially share it with others.
I’ve seen mixed reviews for the keyboard. How is it?
