If you don’t live off of interest from many millions invested, then you are working class. With enough money, it automates itself forever as long as your interest taken out to pay for your lifestyle is less than the rate at which it increases from its investments. If you make 7% gains but take 5% to live off of, the other 2% gets reinvested and added to the compound interest. 5m+ is 250k per year in interest at 5%.

When I visited Amsterdam years ago they served chocolate milk and snacks. The bar bar was next door as a separate entity so people didn’t double dip.

It’s a poison pill for pardons. Either they are essentially absolute and irreversible, or they aren’t and all of the ones Trump made and will make are up for debate. He can grumble all he wants but for Trump to call this pardon “such an abuse and miscarriage of justice” is absolutely laughable given the decade of insanity and illegal stuff coming out of his orange anus. The toilet photo of all the documents should have been enough to jail this man for life in a black site but I guess justice is a miscarriage after all.

If there’s anything all these lying rich guys have in common, it’s that they say and agree with the last thing someone they want something from said. They just echo ideas that get traction and ride the wave.

Honestly a “left Joe Rogan” isn’t going to pick up at all with the left because we aren’t into tribal bullshit. We don’t follow personalities over policies. If AOC said tomorrow “lol Mexicans” the left would shun her because she isn’t aligned anymore with core values of being a decent person. Nobody wants a Joe Rogan on the left because left leaning voters care about the idea of a functional government more than they care about how a figurehead feels about the government.

Whats really appealing about people like Bernie is that for 60 years he’s said the exact same things regardless of the personalities and political winds shifting. It’s the clear optimistic integrity that’s appealing, not Bernie himself. I want healthcare, I don’t give a shit who is giving it to me. Democrats need to have a handful of under 55s who simply want simple stuff and are LOUD and CONSTANT about it. It’s better to have a coordinated party than individual podcasters.

The whole plan is to break all government agencies and then swoop in with a handful of billionaire buddies to buy up EVERYTHING. Houses, bitcoin, schools, outsourced (previous) government jobs to private industry. Crash the economy and tank the financial hit while everyone else is forced to sell, die, or give up their stuff to survive a recession.

My apathy for anyone outside of my nuclear family is significantly higher than it was a few weeks ago. I’m just stocking up on masks, purell, and stuff for the coming year+ when a bird flu kills the yuckyucks and I can’t buy tuna anymore because captain brain worms and the orange don’t believe in science and will actively punish anyone who does for trying to get medicine. They saw their own covid response and went “hmm we did too much. Let’s take more away” it’s just mind boggling.

Since literally everything in the government seems to be getting dismantled, what companies are going to pick up the pieces for these sectors? If we are drowning in a sinking ship we can at least invest in a life boat to buy eggs with and fight the impending inflation. The goal seems to shift trillions from government funding to private sectors and deregulate to let the friends of Trump get even wealthier.
