I feel like I’m the only one who still reverts navigation to the 3 dots and doesn’t use any of the new stuff they’re releasing.
This taskbar looks like it’s going to make things happen without me wanting them to, I hope we can turn it off.

Not the whole country but Mallorca and the Canary Islands had similar protests. I do wonder how the south coast feels about all the Brits going there.
I degoogled to Proton mail initially. I didn’t like that I couldn’t search my emails (a security thing or something? But annoying) and then their Drive was absolutely useless on macos. I had about 100gb and it couldn’t sync even half of it.
After much help from support I eventually moved away to a combo of Fastmail, Mega and OnlyOffice.
I wonder if it’s when it switched to the Gutenberg editor maybe?
All of these AI prompts sound like begging. We’re begging computers to do things for us now.
I see that makes sense. So what does making it public/blending traffic do?
I’m still trying to understand searxng, does it start with nothing and build up its index each time you search? Will your results be rubbish for a while?
Damn I forgot about Reader 😞 I kept my late-00s “Legacy” Google Apps account until the end of last year, when their discounted rate (after fully removing free) was about to go up.
What if I don’t use Assistant? Does it still have access to other parts of my phone?
I’m in the same boat, the issue is my pixel 6 pro has a big smash on the screen so the Graphene option isn’t possible. I used to have a Xiaomi and actually really liked it but I hear they’re changing the os/UI? Also I dunno about ads, that sounds crap.
They use it as a substitute for egg whites in cocktails, and honestly it’s better.
All good! The laptop I was using Linux on I installed batocera on instead 😊
Maybe, but I’m not a huge Linux user and every time I dip my toe in I run out of tinkering time. Plus I had the Air laying around and it all installed so easily.
Just to be controversial, macos. It’s nothing fancy, just the arrs and Jellyfin running on an old MacBook air.
I’m not USA, I can never be 100% sure.
They want a tip at self-serve? That’s ridiculous!
I picked up from their response that they’re just using the public API, not in any kind of partnership?
I keep hearing about Kagi, are they reputable? I moved from Google to DDG and I do a fair bit of searching so I would be interested, but I guess there’s a bit of a one-company-knowing-my-search-history going on (totally unironically).
I haven’t heard of this before, but why is a reader a threat to a company? What’s the issue?
Huh, I actually had to look at the At a Glance but to see what you were talking about. I’ve just taken it as a given that I can’t use the top 1/3 of the screen or the bottom strip.
I’m not a gestures guy at all, I like buttons!
