I saw that and did my little calculation, which I think fits quite well.

That announcement was what made me do the calculations.

But didn’t Russia ban Diesel exports because of their own shortages?
Oh yes, they did: https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Russia-Extends-Diesel-and-Gasoline-Export-Bans-Into-2027.html

“Waitlist” feels redundant with these timelines. I wonder what their plan was, really: “Let’s create this game-changing headset, but only manufacture and sell a couple thousand of it. Yeah, that’ll change the whole market for VR!”

At this rate there’s a realistic chance to get a used one at a reasonable price before getting a new one from the waitlist. As much as I like Valve I have to say they really dropped the ball on this one. Why even bother creating a market-changing device when you only produce it in minuscule numbers. Now they have neither an egg nor a hen.

Thank god the EU is generally spared this trash.

Ach du sch…, das erklärt einiges.

While work on the Torment Nexus continues we are proud to announce that the rollout of both Thoughtcrime and Precrime are well underway.

This! I didn’t even realize how bad things were until I stepped outside. Using a sensible OS took a big load off my shoulders.

Only if you’re into lowest common denominator multiplayer slop.

Welp, at least everything will be awesome when/if I ever get mine.

“You’re sheltering physical discs, are you not?”

“… while you’re playing them.” — that’s ambitious at this point.

This is fine.
Being on the waitlist myself I slowly accepting the fact that it’s a “wait and see if we even produce a Frame for you” list. At this rate other manufacturers might offer competitive alternatives before I could even order one.
The saddest thing is that I would’ve been willing to spend up to 1.800,- if only I could.
