A cofounder donated to the Örebro Party, which has an eclectic platform. Mostly, progressive liberals of the imperial core are (justifiably) upset about its immigration/“remigration” policies and upset about its anti-NATO policies.

Companies are owned by the bourgeoisie, who are right wing^[1]. So “voting with your dollar” over this is largely performative, because the VPN you switch to will also be bourgeois-owned.

It’s past time to get a solid legal framework.

Edit to add: Perhaps not: DHS has returned his devices, probably because they did’t want this to go to court, probably because they know their legal position is weak.

I’d also like to know. Sellers can know when you’re using a popular VPN service or have DeGoogled, but I don’t know how they may use that information. Perhaps they’ll try to punish you into submission by jacking prices to the moon or refusing to serve their website altogether. Reddit and some other sites already block VPNs.

There will never be a silver bullet, because this will be an endless arms race between sellers and savvy consumers.
